Taco Bell — Restaurant in Bergenfield

Jan 21st 2024 This place has went down hill so bad ! I used to work there years over a decade ago & it was an amazing restaurant. They try to blame it on being short staffed but I've been applying over & over again for 2 years now & I had one crew mate say they aren't hiring but the outside of the building says you are! Now this place is a joke! The last 4 times I've been there they have completely messed my order up where I had to come back once & on two occasions 2 times because they still couldn't get my order right & they didn't offer coupons or anything for my inconvenience. Helck today they gave me someone else's order & when I took the food back in they threw the food away right in front of me & remade my order while I waited & I checked it before I left ,then when I got home the opened my pintos & cheese and it was potatoes!!!!I as much as they have ripped me off here. They should have made it right. Every time I order the 2 chalupa combo that comes with two chalupas & one taco they always forget my crunchy taco , I always check my order since I've made it home too many times and they shorted me my taco. I haven't seen the manager I worked under in a over a year so I'm assuming she doesn't manage the place anymore because she would not let this happen. She managed it size 85 so maybe she retired but I refuse to eat at this location again. I'll eat at the one in Alton way better service & when they messed my order up & I had to come back they gave me a bunch of coupons that give you one free taco with your purchase. I'm tired of losing money & getting ripped of at this location & when you tell them they made a mistake they are rude & confrontational. They act like the customer is trying to run game on them when in reality they're service is really terrible. Nothing worst than not getting what you ordered & being treated like your the scammer!!! This location has more one star reviews & like a couple good reviews I don't understand how they maintain a 3.6 rating ,seems like it should be lower. Well if they don't do something soon they end up closed cuz no one wants to waste $! And fix your kiosk so it has the same item menu as your drive...

Ive tried this place multiple times. Today I found a HAIR IN MY FOOD. A couple weeks ago I ordered and they gave my order to the car in front of me. I watched the person in the car open the bag, go through the food, and then give it back to the staff because it was the wrong order. Then they tried to give me the food the other customer took in their car and went through with their bare hands. I refused it, they took it back and then tried to give me the same bag again! I could tell because it was ripped in the same place and then sealed with a sticker. Again I said nah Im not taking this food someone else went throught. 10 minutes later they bring me a new bag and half my stuff is gone so I gotta tell them that Im missing food. Maybe all this explains the hair in my food this time! Lol! But its a pandemic still and we need to be extra careful. The staff here obviously doesnt care and has unsanitary conditions. Went thru the drive thru, and when I looked inside the bag, there was a flat wrapper, and when I slid it to the side I noticed my hard taco on the bottom of the bag, upside down. Looked like someone forgot to use the wrapper to actually wrap and secure the food. I fished it out of the bag and placed it on top of the wrapper and held it up to show the girl at the drive thru, and explained what apparently had happened, and she said, " I can't take it back "... I explained again that my food was now mostly still on the bottom of the bag, and that I'd like another taco, she said, " you want another bag?" I said, "no, another taco." She seemed like she was pretty much done trying to listen, and turned away. So I decided to share my story of poor food handling and even poorer customer service, so that maybe they will decide to improve, since food and customer service is the business they're supposedly in. Lots of fast food choices out there, so if you're trying to decide where to eat, you may want to cross this off...
