So I roll in thinking I’m about to get a solid Italian sub fix with a name like Fat Sal’s, right? But nope.

I ordered the “Famous Bronx Godfather” because if you’re gonna pretend to be Italian in Jersey, that’s the kind of name you gotta back up. What showed up? A limp, greasy mess with “store-made mozzarella” that tasted like it was ripped from ShopRite. The bread was borderline stale, and the sun-dried peppers were just sad little scraps.

And $26 for a sub? For that kind of cash, I expected a sandwich that could feed a small army, not something I had to eat fast before it fell apart in my hands.

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the staff looked like they’d rather be anywhere else. Took forever to get my order, and when I asked for extra napkins they acted like I asked for a kidney.

Didn't even get to try the food because the guy behind the counter had such an attitude problem. The presence of my husband and I was a definite and obvious inconvenience to this man's life. I asked if their sub bread was soft and instead of giving me a normal human answer I got, "it's nyc Brooklyn style." Needless to say I ordered nothing and we walked out.
