This place just opened and we gave it a go, and what a surprise it was. First, you're greeted by the aroma of the grill itself, which floats you inside. They were busy, and they didn't handle the crowed well, but you could tell they cared and wanted to get your order in as soon as they could. I think it's just a matter of time before they figure that part out.
We ordered the Fire Pit Wings, the Chicken and Beef Ribs Combo, and the Pork Ribs platter. We got each with the Spanish Fries and Black Bean Soup.
First, it's a shock how much food we got. It came to just over $40, but we got enough food for two meals for the two of us. Honestly, an appetizer and one tray will feed two average people.
The surprise was the Black Bean Soup. Simply amazing, and a MUST have. The Fire Pit Wings were the best wings I've had in this area, and I'm a wing guy. I'll go back again and again for the wings.

Read moreWe drove up and saw the Fire Pit, at first it looked like a take out Chinese Restaurant. We went in anyway, very few tables, the one we had was small. I was sorry we came in, than the owner came over and told us about the restaurant. What a great personality. We looked over the menu and were surprised to see a Portuguese selection of dinners. We made our order and waited. The owner came over with a plate of a new dish he was trying and gave us a sample, which was enough for a meal. It was delicious and now set us up for what was coming next. Both of our dinners were excellent. The food quality was very good, the flavors outstanding. Only negative besides the smallness of the place was drinks came from a cooler and we had to get up to get our own. He should start serving drinks in a glass. Don't let any of the so called negatives detour anyone from dinning at the Fire Pit Grill, you will not be...
Read moreI recently stopped into this place as i was passing through town and and i absolutely loved the dish I had there. the chicken was great, the meat was nice and moist and great flavoring and spices on the outside...perfect. It reminded me of all the spanish and portuguese places up north, plenty of food and with a great flavor, just as good if not better then up by where i grew up in the newark area. i also had spanish chips (these were awesome) and the black beans had a great flavor, i pretty much thought they all tasted the same until i had a batch from here...they were great. i was also very happy with the portions and size of the meats and sides there. this place is a great refreshing addition to the area and i will be back for sure once i'm in town for the summer, looking forward to try some of their other dishes, i would love to try a steak next. very friendly...
