Wawa — Restaurant in Berkeley Township

To the Wawa Owner/Manager,

I have to say that your worker Dale is the most honest and respectable worker you have. A few weeks ago I was in the store purchasing a few things. When I got all the way home I couldn't find my change from the products I bought. After searching everywhere for abut half hour I could not find my $11 change. I figured I probable lost it or dropped it somewhere. Then my daughter said maybe I dropped I in the store and someone turned it in. I laughed and said there's no way someone would turn money in not everyone is like me. So we did decide to go check just to be sure. I went back up to Wawa and asked Dale if he had seen my change or if I dropped it somewhere. Dale said mam I went to hand your change to you and also called out for you when ypu were walking out but you didn't hear me so I put it away for you. He opened up his draw and he had my $11 paper clipped with a little note saying this is the change for the young lady that was here with blonde hair and green eyes she comes in all the time please give this to her when she comes back in. I have to say most teenagers or probably 80% of this population would of never put my change aside especially knowing they could have just taken my money and put it in his pocket. There would have been no way of knowing or proving it considering I thought I lost it or dropped it somewhere. I have never been so impressed by an honest teenager working when he had every opportunity to just go and take that money and no one would ever knew different. As far as I knew I thought I lost it and I was just taking a chance on going back up to see if it was there. You have yourself a good honest hard worker which are very hard to come by. If anybody deserves a raise or any type of promotion I would definitely recommend the young gentleman cashier Dale. Ive praised him and compliment him to everybody that I know and all the workers. I want to say Thank You Dale and thank you Wawa for having great workers.

Since moving to the area almost two years ago, I have been a customer of the wawa located at 220 US-9 in Bayville. I’m there almost every day. This store and all the employees (from the managers to the staff inside to the gas attendants) who work there are all truly AMAZING! The amount of hard work and dedication to their customers is truly an understatement. It’s always so neat and clean. They work together as a team and even when it gets hectic in there they always operate as one with little to no issues at least none that I can see while I’m there. Honestly, this specific store has become my favorite Wawa location to shop at. They also make my food just the way I like it. And even on my worst days they know just how to put a smile on my face. Pulled up to the gas pumps. Young gentleman came right over. Happy and pleasant. I went inside to go buy a quart of milk. Girl was stacking the shelf another pleasant human being then went to go and check out and waited when there was a guy. putting things under the counter, knowing that myself and another customer was waiting the other customer was waiting a lot longer than I was.
