5 Tacos and Beers Berkeley — Restaurant in Berkeley

We normally like this location for easier access for us but, not are not visting as frequently since the Spring. To me it seems like the liitle things (wilted mint leaves on the Bar on a Sunday morning, non functioning toilet, on the left, and the dirty mop smell in that side of the restaurant) have us looking for seating in the front when the windows are open or another place. I hope that they get things taken care of soon! Earlier this year...We (I) really like the Brunch menu and enjoy friendly service at the College Ave location! I think that the menu variety is so good that any Brunch item is a winner! I think that the meal is even better when served on a HOT plate instead of the boards used for the Tacos, it keeps the food warm to last bite! There is parking available on the street but there is a public parking lot behind...

We were in the neighborhood to see a show at the nearby Berkeley Playhouse, and decided to try this place -- it was a great choice! We had the weekend brunch, and I got the chorizo con huevo. Excellent taste, and a pretty generous portion. The home fried potatoes were nicely done as well, and I really enjoyed the Acme bread that came with the order. Service was awesome -- I suspect the gentleman who was greeting and seating customers is the owner, and he was very warm and welcoming, clearly proud of maintaining the quality of the establishment. The restaurant itself is large, with plenty of options for large groups. There's a large rotating beer selection that I'll have to try some time in the future (brunch wasn't exactly the right time!). There's a convenient paid parking lot behind...

Soooo Good!

This is my second time going to this place and they didn't disappoint.

Service: was sat promptly, friendly staff.

Food: I'm mean come on.. Sooo good

Chips/gac/salsa: chips made fresh, salsa nice flavors and guacamole was chunky and tasty.

Tacos: flaaavored. Seasoned to perfection. Our group raved about the taste.

Drinks: Alcohol: strong Non Alcoholic: (Agua Fresca) fresh -not watered down Hot chocolate: steam milk and Spanish chocolate - kids loved it (Downside they ran out of whipped cream for hot chocolate)

We were all pleasantly happy with our food and service. Even though the restaurant was getting busy no one rushed us. Good laughs, good vibes, good service, and excellent food. Yep I will be...
