Himalayan Bite offers a pleasant dining experience with some standout dishes. My family and I recently enjoyed dinner there, and while there were a few minor points, overall, it was a positive experience.

We started with the Kale Chaat, which was very nice and flavorful The Chicken 65 was another winner – perfectly spiced and the chicken was tender and juicy. It had a nice kick without being overly spicy.

For our main courses, we opted for the Tandoori Momo and the Malai Tikka Kabab. The Tandoori Momo had a lovely smoky flavor from the tandoor oven, and the filling was delicious. The Malai Tikka Kabab was also well-prepared, the chicken was incredibly tender and the creamy marinade created a rich and flavorful dish.

The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable and inviting, creating a relaxed atmosphere for our family dinner. The service was attentive and friendly.

While the food and service were generally very good, I would have liked to see a slightly broader selection of vegetarian options on the menu. This is a minor point, however, as the dishes we did try were excellent.

Overall, Himalayan Bite is a solid choice for anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable meal...

I'm not a local but I've traveled to Berkeley about once a year for the past three years for a UC Berkeley event. I try different local places every time I visit and this is by far the best place I've tried in the entire area.

The Chicken Tikka Masala was perfectly spiced and piping hot. Chicken was tender and the sauce was flavorful with a fantastic tang. It was not overly greasy at all. The garlic Naan was huge and had amazing flavor. They are very generous with the garlic and butter flavoring. It was crispy on the bottom and pillowy soft on top - perfect complement to the saucy curry.

The mango lassi was also great, it was not overly sweet and had a good thickness to it without being overwhelming. The service was also excellent - the folks there are super kind, very professional, and they bring the food right to where you're sitting.

Seating is a little bit cramped but the tables are clean and they're making the best out of the small space. Himalayan Bite is one restaurant I've visited that I'd love to come back to on...

Himalayan Bite in Berkeley is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Himalayan flavors. We tried the Momo, Spicy Naan, Chilly Chicken, and Chicken Sausage, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The Momo were perfectly steamed, juicy, and packed with traditional spices, while the Chilly Chicken had the right balance of heat and flavor. The Spicy Naan was soft yet crispy, adding a perfect touch to the meal, and the Chicken Sausage was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection.

The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, and the service was friendly and attentive. The portions were generous, and the pricing was reasonable for such high-quality food. If you’re looking for an authentic Himalayan dining experience in Berkeley, Himalayan Bite is a must-visit. We will definitely be...

Himalayan Bite is a new, reliable go-to for us! My god, the KALE CHAAT! An *inspired*dish! I now crave it! The naans are bliss for this carb-addict. I’ll be working my way through their many menu offerings but I can’t bring myself to not order the kale chaat and a naan. And chai. We came to Himalayan Bite by chance. Noodle Dynasty had just closed for the evening. Wondering where to go as we walked, just a couple doors north was Himalayan Bite. It was rather empty but it was open and we were hungry! (The sign in the window stating that they also serve Jain food was a positive bias for me.) The cherry on too: the guys working there - so welcoming. They make it clear that they want your experience to be a good one.

From the moment I walked in I was expecting a great meal. And they exceeded my expectations. You'll be greated with the aromas and the sight of a busy kitchen, and a smile from Sam. The chicken bento box had tender chunks of chicken with just enough rich sauce and just the right spice. It came with rice and spicy noodles and beautifully fried cauliflower. And then there was the the Lamb Korma. Spectacular! So rich and out of this world layers of flavor. Sam checked to make sure we had everything we needed and the chef even came out to ask if we were happy with everything. It's a small place, comfortable, and I always like when I can see into the kitchen.
