This Peets is very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Staff are not at all engaging and unprofessional. When ordering a beverage and upon receiving the incorrect order, the cashier blatantly lied and claimed that was the drink ordered. The cashier with short blonde dyed hair did not provide proof of the āincorrect orderingā claiming to be a mocha instead of white hot chocolate which was ordered. The white hot chocolate was CONFIRMED by the cashier when they repeated the order twice. Mocha and white hot chocolate sound entirely different. So how did you mess this up?
Additionally, the barista informed it was a white hot chocolate when handing the order overā so did you mix it up or just lie when giving the order out?
Folks making mistakes is normal. Owning up to the mistake is what makes someone a good person and employee. The blatant lying and disrespect upon asking both the cashier and barista to remake the drink correctly is to not be tolerated. Gaslighting also is not respected and when dealing with folks who are disabled, this is highly inappropriate.
Not to mention, when having to travel back nearly 20 minutes to get the corrected order, staff was not compliant or helpful. Very unfriendly to older and disabled folks. Not at all the kindness that is expected in a culturally and ethnically diverse area.
From one who has been working in the customer service industry for nearly a decade now, this disrespect should not be tolerated. Go to Philz, Coleās Coffee or even Starbucks. There are many other and better selections in the area instead of the rude, disrespectful, and trashy...

But i kept ne a few dollars on me cause I was expecting them to say that I have to buy something or leave. It was raining outside and all I really wanted and needed was to charge my laptop and phone . An d work in ny website ( lykesb.com). And yall I was pleasantly surprised cause no staff ever bothered me or scowled at me or nothing and as a extra added bonus . They were playing some good classical music . Which really soothed my soul. And before I knew it I wound up staying g all day working . Pleasantly. Even when it started to get a bit crowded. ( I truly hate crowds). But this time I was able to deal with it in high fashion and u real7zed it was because the way they had the tables laid out . Even when its crowded. I still had my 20 feet and was able to still move. And also. Who could get angry when Beethoven us playing. Ya peets us doing they thing real well. It seemed like a place where rich middle class ,college students and even a few homeless can chill together and have no problems. Cause peets gas subliminally put everybody in a pleasant mood. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe quality of service has gotten atrocious. Iāve had to wait for my order today because the worker accidentally handed my food to someone else. It took them another time to heat up a simple blueberry muffin. Plus my drink didnāt taste like it should normally. This morning crew is super inefficient.
If you can just order online and go and donāt order her at the store.
The last few times I came here they said people they were short staffed and overwhelmed with too many orders.
Update:
I changed my rating recently from a 3 to 5 star. The new crew, management and the cashiers increased are wonderful. They remember my order and they always greet me with a smile or a ,āhi, Truth!ā I really look forward to coming here because theyāve been consistently making sure the coffee tastes just as it should (Iāve had coffee that tasted too sour or like the bottom of the barrel old grind).
Thereās a more diverse crew which I really like. They seem more organized and theyāve reduced the lines. Great...
