This is the * BEST INDIAN / HIMALAYAN FOOD IN THE BAY AREA.* Their intention and dedication to their art is inspiring. I'm not sure what's better the incredibly delicious and authentic food, or the people who are so warm friendly and inviting. Their honest smiles and warm welcome was the beginning of something very special. I am a Vegetarian, and somewhat of a connoisseur of South Asian food. There's often vegetarian options so it's a common default for me. THIS WAS ANYTHING BUT COMMON, but it is my new default. Folks, this was not your average Tibetan/Nepalese/Indian food. The attention to detail was evident in my taste-buds. The vegetables were of the highest grade and cooked to perfection. So fresh, I doubt they even have a freezer. The Malai Kofta was like eating it for the first time. I realized how good handmade kofta can get. I didn't know it could be so good. Dinner comes with a lentil soup so good my friend thought it wasn't vegetarian and had to ask. The garlic naan was honestly the best I've ever had. We almost got more and then immediately upon leaving wished we had and discussed going back because it was absolutely delicious. I have been regretting that all night. So I wanted to tell all you folks on yelp that I can't stop thinking about going back and I just bought the yelp deal.
Nice Selection on Beer. Absolutely suitable and exciting for Vegans, Vegetarians, and All friendly...

I've revised this review to be specific about the dish I ordered, which is definitely on the menu.
My feelings about my order: Basically, it is unreasonable to charge $18 for a tiny bowl of pumpkin curry.
I went here with my son for his birthday for a nice meal. We spent $80 between us, which made no sense. Curries are made with simple ingredients, like legumes, veggies and chicken. They're not expensive to make and should not cost a fortune, especially in such limited portions. I don't eat much but I would have liked a meal sized bowl of curry.
Another issue, they use strongly scented hand sanitizer, near the entry. The harsh chemical scent fills the air and interferes with the experience of the food. The waitress kindly sat us by an open window but perfume and food just don't mix. It would be so easy to use unscented hand sanitizer.
I just did not have a good experience and felt super...

There is abundant seating in a clean, well decorated main room. You will be warmly greeted and provided a menu with both vegetarian and meat dishes. Our favorites are butter chicken, samosas, and the sizzling tandoori chicken skillet, which arrives with exciting aromas and beautiful presentation.
Naan and a light soup are included with main courses. In addition to plain naan, there are flavored naans to choose for a small supplemental cost. The garlic naan we recommend. All of the dishes are family recipe and cooked to order. The sauces are well calibrated in taste and spice level.
There are a few wines and beers to choose from, the rosé is chilled and goes well with the meal.
For the people, for the thoughtful and well-cooked meals, for the welcoming atmosphere, enjoy a meal at Taste of...
