I've ordered from this Domino's a fair bit, had a missed topping here or there and it's always been resolved quickly and kindly. Mistakes happen, i'm not unreasonable.
Tonight, I decided to use my free pizza I had left and order dinner in. I added a couple toppings and such, and because I didn't really feel like writing in a tip I simply added the tip they allow for cards (20%). I think the tip was around 1.17, lower than I usually tip, but this Domino's is .3 miles from me. It's right up the street. I can walk there in 15 minutes or less. I usually tip two bucks or so for such a short delivery.
I took the pizza from the delivery guy, sat it down in my kitchen, opened the box and this is what I was greeted with. I live in a high-end retirement area. There's no potholes. All these streets are pretty new, and again, it's .3 miles away. I was at a loss and pretty angry.
So I called and asked to speak to a manager. He seemed completely uncaring to the whole issue. He explained to me that if I wanted to bring the pizza back, he'd make me a new one. Excuse me? It's not my responsibility to fix this mistake. Finally, he agreed to have his drivers pick it up, but really?
This is how you conduct business? Fighting with me over even picking it up? They could pick it up when they delivered the new one!
This is unacceptable customer service. Disgusted. I don't even like Papa John's, but apparently they're gaining my business. I wish we had a single pizza place worth a damn that delivered.
UPDATE: After waiting an hour for this driver, I called back and was informed not only was that a lie and they weren't sending a driver to pick this pizza up, they weren't making a new one unless I came to get it and now I have an ice cold pizza I do...
Read moreOrdered delivery for our family for supper. Pizza came and was burnt and crust rock hard. I tried calling multiple times, then drove to the location personally. When I arrived there was zero concern about the phones being silenced (I called while standing at the counter), they asked if I wanted my pizza remade but offered no complimentary side or service to compensate for me having to come to the store and fix the problem. After receiving the newly remade pizza, I asked if there was a manger on shift, to which I was told, “We all are pretty much managers” I explained that I was very frustrated with the experience and that simply remaking the pizza was not a professional or acceptable resolution, to which the employee only replied, “I understand” I asked if they even cared that the phone lines were either silenced or not working and received a collective shrug from anyone who was listening any more. To be fair, we have ordered before without many issues (occasionally wrong toppings) but the experience and response I received when having an actual problem...
Read moreAvoid this place! I attempted to order online delivery to the hotel literally around the corner, only because I am alone with 3 small children and didn't want to leave the kids in the car to pick up carryout. The website would not let me order for hotel delivery, so I tried to call 3 times, no answer. That should have been my clue. Instead, I put in a doordash order. An hour went by and it kept saying "preparing your order," but never assigned it to a dasher. The time for delivery consisently said 2 minutes from the current time but it just went on and on. I again attempted to call multiple times to see if they were actually making it, while hungry kids are waiting with no idea if we were going to get dinner. I canceled the order at an hour and 10 minutes and ordered Pizza hut, then lo and behold a dominos employee showed up at the hotel? The order was missing all the sauces, the pizza was terrible and the cheese inside the cheesy bread wasn't even melted, so I didn't feel any guilt about my refund. The Pizza Hut order arrived 10 minutes later, hot...
