Maddie Cakes — Restaurant in North Carolina

On 3/6/24 I ordered a pound cake for my sister. The young woman who took my order was very nice and asked all the right questions. My sister likes her cake a little crispy around the edges, so she made sure to double check with the bakers to get that approved. When I arrived on 3/8/24 to pick it up it had icing/glaze on top. I told the young woman at the counter I specified no toppings when I placed the order. She apologized and said they could have another cake ready in 24 hours. The next day (3/9/24) when I went back to pick up the new cake it looked perfect! As soon as I got home we all dug in, which is why I unfortunately do not have any photos. My sister raved about it. She said it had the prefect crunch. Not only was the pound cake exceptional, but the service was too. The staff really went above and beyond by making a replacement cake with a 24 turnaround. 10/10 recommend...

A must visit for all your sweet-tooth desires! I have gone here multiple times and every cupcake flavor is exceptional. The crumb is moist and the frosting is super tasty. I recently purchased a peanut butter cookie sandwich which was absolutely heavenly. Also, I was really pleased to see that all staff were wearing masks covering face and mouth. You won't regret stopping by this bakery!

Update: We love their cupcakes so much that we ordered a graduation cake from them and WOW! If you need a cake for any occasion, definitely order from Maddie Cake's. The lemon-raspberry cake was at least 10" high and was triple layer, with a melt-in-your-mouth buttercream frosting. They even decorated it with the university's colors! I picked up a bunch of cupcakes yesterday for my parents anniversary party yesterday. I got the recommendation from my mom who lives nearby. I did not sample the cupcakes with gluten (that looked absolutely delicious) but I bought a gluten free brownie and carrot cake cupcake for myself. These are hands-down the most delicious gluten-free baked goods I’ve ever had in my life. I gave some of the brownie to my husband. I didn’t tell him it was gluten free until after he said how good it was. It says a lot because he’s as pretty much as picky as they come. The gluten free carrot cupcake was also amazing. Super moist and the perfect amount of icing! My only complaint is that Maddie cakes is not in greensboro. Keep up the good...
