This location is consistently inconsistent. It seems like they have a very high employee turnover rate. My experience is mostly drive through, I've only been inside like 3 times. The food/coffee is usually consistent. I've had a few with too much ice or an extra shot of espresso I didn't order in it. Overall decently SB product wise.
I've had a few exceptional drive through servers hence why I'm giving three stars. Also some not great but everyone has bad days so whatever.... Unfortunately today's drive through employee was so bad I felt I needed to leave a review.
I like to leave a tip and use the insert chip function. The deeply put upon gal I got at the window today straight up held the card machine out of my reach and actively pulled back on it while repeatedly asking me to tap it in a quite nasty tone. She got even more confrontational when I said no I like to use this, not rudely I might add. WOW. Dude I would not have added a $2 tip if I'd known this was how this experience was going to go! She then seemed surprised when I was clearly not pleased. Maybe don't work in customer service if you are going to be mean?
Ironically one of the best window employees I encountered there previous to today was a nice young gal whom joked with me about how we both were running on no sleep etc. That interaction made my day. Also shows the gal today is not cut out for customer service work.
I usually go to this one because it's near where I get gas on errand days.. Guess I will go to a different one...
Read moreI go inside to place an order (because the line was long in the drive thru) . I stand and wait forever at the pickup area. A female did ask me what I ordered because she knew I had been standing there a while, so I appreciate that acknowledgment. I told her what I ordered, and then she just kind of forgets about me for 5 minutes. I say, I know you are busy, but did you find my order? She says no. I told her I just paid 17 dollars (plus I tipped two dollars)... and she's like did you mess up and mean to pick up the order at our other bernalillo location? Asks me this in front of other people like I'm stupid. I guess she thought I ordered in the app, I tell her I just paid with that cashier right over there? I don't like leaving bad reviews, but maybe a manager can give them some constructive feedback. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth when you tip, and then you are questioned like you made a mistake in ordering, when I didn't. I know we are all just trying to survive and get by in life, but don't treat customers like...

All I wanted was a cup of water. Just water. You know—the basic human need? Starbucks used to give it out with a smile. Not anymore. They told me I had to buy something just to get it.
So guess what I had to do? I bought a cake pop I didn’t even want. I’m trying to lose weight. I’m trying to make better choices. And Starbucks said, “Here, take this sugar stick so you can earn your hydration.”
This is not right. This is not kind. This is not even legal in my emotional court system.
I’ve been loyal. I’ve spent way too much money here over the years. But now? I’m done. Not coming back. Not for the coffee. Not for the cake pops. Not even for the water.
