N Joy Chinese Food Restaurant — Restaurant in Berwyn

After reading reviews and seeing what people thought of the atmosphere, I decided to give dining in a shot. Went on a weekend night at dinner time, and the place was empty. We were the only table. It was dead silent and the place was cold.

Service was prompt and the food was excellent. I feel that it was quite a bit better having it fresh rather than delivery. Egg-rolls and pan fried chicken kept their crunch much better than they do being delivered, and steaming in a container.

If they had a more welcoming vibe, I would definitely say this is an eat in spot. Keep the temperature at a dining room temperature, play some music, have tables set, etc. I feel like being in the depot district, this is a big missed opportunity.

I was passing through the area and wanted Chinese food. I searched Google, and this place had some good reviews, so I decided to try it. I ordered a sesame chicken lunch special that came with fried rice and an egg roll. I upgraded the fried rice to combination fried rice and added some potstickers. The potstickers were large and very good, and the sauce that came with complimented them wonderfully. The lunch special was excellent and was large enough to split with my wife. The price was reasonable. Delicious egg roll! If I'm in the area, I would definitely stop here, and the next time I want Chinese food, I might just make the trek over to this restaurant. They used to be my go to place but their food has lost its flavor and the quality is clearly not being purchased . For example : Shrimp fried rice had no flavor, very light in color and the SHRIMP WAS NOT DEVEINED. I was disgusted at the sight of the shrimp intestines. Wonton soup: a dark broth, almost no lettuce in it. Broth was lacking flavor. Potstickers : the actual potsticker was great but the sauce they gave had a weird taste. Not vinegary at all.

Sadly I need to find a new place which makes me sad because staff is very friendly as others have mentioned.
