At it's height, this Waffle House was average. Average servers w/ average attitudes & average work ethic. Nothing special but not terrible either. Recently, that standard has plummeted. Locally, the only establishment worse than this one is the McDonald's next door. Thank God for Mickey D's. Lately, it's either been bad, slow or cold. On good nights, it's been all 3. Tonight, however, was the cherry on top. Empty parking lots equal empty dining rooms. And soon I understood why it was so empty. As I pulled into the parking place in front of the entrance, I notice one of the employees moving rather briskly towards the front entrance as well. But, he wasn't there to thank me for choosing WH. Not at all. Instead, he was letting me know it would be at least 30 minutes before my order would be ready due to the fact I arrived during "shift change." LOL. Weellll, ya see, I hadn't even ordered yet. In fact, I had barely stepped out of the car. Hand probably still on the door. Shift change? Really? Wow! I could spend more time on this but I think you get the picture. Don't stop here. The employees are lazy. Ungrateful. And would rather stand behind the counter & stare at the highway than serve you. That's just a fact. I've been eating at this locale for 7 months now & it's gone from bad to worse to awful. It should be called the "Garbage House." Identifying it as a Waffle House is near sacrilege. But hey, the parking is fantastic. Automobiles love it. Wide open spaces. Plenty of attention. In fact, all the attention. You'll never have to worry about your car being "bumped into." Dents? Scratches? No sir. Not here. Other than that, it was a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I were hoping for a quiet Sunday breakfast. It started out that way but after we ordered and was waiting on our food we realized that it was the MOD that picked up our table bc the server decided that she didn't want to pick up anymore tables. The MOD said something to her (ghetto acting) employees about them not doing thier work and all hell broke loose. The employees starting cussing back and forth while the MOD was trying to control the situation. One server even walked out, it was probably planned bc her ride was waiting for her out front. Another (ghetto) server was sitting down taking a break (she was taking her break when we first got there. This was taking place after we were there for at least a half an hour). The little girl sitting down taking her break mouthed off that she deserved a break and wasn't getting up. (She obviously was lazy and young) We almost left without finishing our food or paying the bill because we couldn't enjoy our breakfast bc of the drama. When we went up to pay the cashier who was our server and the MOD my husband told her that we would never be back bc of the drama. She apologized but one of the ghetto servers kept running her mouth so unfortunately for me and my husband's sternness I/we will not eat at this location. I wish I knew the ladies name who did take care of us that day. I hope she is doing well and still taking care of Waffle...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, so after trying to contact a manager or cooperate; here is my review. The over night staff is very tricky and will pretty much charge you what they want to charge you. Three nights ago my husband and I decided we wanted breakfast for dinner. Where else can you get breakfast at 11:00 p.m? Right! Waffle House. So I went in to order. Ok so the value two for $5 burgers are no longer available sooooo. I ordered my husband the bacon Angus burger plate which cost $10.50 add $1.00 for chili and cheese that wasn't on the hash brown. Okay so about $12-$13 dollars right. I ordered simply a sausage cheese and grits bowl with double sausage. The bowl it self is only $9.25 right. Ok cool add a waffle to that please. I calculate $28.25 right. The receipt says inclusive tax is $3.30.
Now I don't claim to be a genius mathematician or anything but, numbers I DO. There is no way this meal came out to be a whole $43.51. I so seriously need a refund the food smelled old when I opened the plate and again the order was all wrong. When I attempted the give the cashier the opportunity to correct her mistake she blatantly responded that it would still be the same price the whole while with a condescending tone...
