We ordered for delivery and have never had such a cluster with any establishment. This location obviously does not read it's own menu and for the price, an ABSOLUTE caution to beware. We ordered an individual Olive Oyl's salad, a large Ceasar salad, a gluten free (only come in medium) from their menu "Pesto and Chicken" special pizza (menu indicates that it also has red onions and peppers) along with a large hand-tossed Olive Oyl's "Combo" pizza (per their menu pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers and black olives) with traditional sauce. The boxes were very oil soaked when they arrived (thus the Olive Oyl franchise name?) but to their credit - right on time. However, the gluten free pizza for which you pay more came only with pesto on it and nothing else as indicated on their own menu. When we called, the owner/manager asked if we wanted a credit or new pizza. The individual for whom it was ordered is not able to have gluten so we asked to have the pizza remade. As we awaited that arrival, it was noticed that the what they dubbed their "special combo" pizza had no pepperoni on it and the crust was not hand tossed as ordered. Additionally, the large Ceasar salad had as much in its container as the individual salad contained. When the same driver returned (who we tipped $7+ and don't live more than a mile away), we showed that there was additionally no pepperoni on the "Special Combo" pizza received and then exchanged the errant gluten-free pizza. The remade pizza had chicken on top of the pesto, but still no onion or peppers. The person for whom that pizza was primarily ordered usually patronizes the Washington PA location and could not believe the difference in quality (especially the excessive oil) and service. Phone and delivery personnel were all very pleasant which is why I couldn't give just one star. For nearly $50 for four items, it was definitely a huge disappointment. It's obvious that employees have not been given proper training on the menu nor is there managerial oversight to ensure that the food is expedited accurately. It's Olive Oyl's...
Read moreWhile the pizza is of good quality, I will never give Olive Oils another dime of my business, and neither should you. While visiting my parents in Bethel Park, who have patronized this location loyally for several years, we ordered several pizzas for dinner. When the order was eventually delivered, it was wrong. The delivery driver informed us that if we called the restaurant, they would send the missing pizza back out for delivery. We called to request the missing pizza at 7:17 pm, and were informed it would be delivered "within 30 or 40 minutes," which was disappointing since our order had been screwed up and we were located 0.6 mi from Olive Oils. Nevertheless, we waited. At approximately 8:20 pm (over an hour later), we called again to ask about the missing pizza, and the employee answering the phone (the same one from the prior call) was argumentative and seemed surprised that we still wanted the pizza. After we had already called! And waited over an hour!! Eventually, we spoke to a manager, who informed us that the delivery driver had told them, "not to make the pizza." The manager (Mitchell?) said they, "didn't know what to do" after the driver said this (even after we had called to ask for the missing pizza!), so instead of righting the wrong, they did nothing! The manager finally asked, "So do you still want the pizza?" Yes, Olive Oils, I did still want the pizza after ordering it, paying for it, and waiting close to 2 hours from my initial order for The Phantom Pizza....
Read moreI responded to an Olive Oils newspaper circular that advertised $25 off on-line orders. The website was not accepting on-line orders (reading other reviews, this sounds like their constant state of on-line ordering). The rep answering my call was very unprofessional, screaming out answers (literally) to questions being asked of her by others present around her. Upon entering the store for pickup, the man at the counter never looked up or away from a conversation he was having with another store employee to greet me or acknowledge he would be with me momentarily. His first words to me (as I remained at the counter) was, "Did you need something?" I was clearly an annoyance, not a customer. When I inquired about the two salads I had ordered he relayed the question to all the store staff with a high-volume, "Does anyone know about salads!?" After paying and returning home, the answer to his question was clear. The answer is they do not know salads, as the Chef Salads were nothing but a pile of romaine lettuce with slices of lunchmeat on top. Each salad came with with a lump of foil containing a container of dressing and a crumpled piece of garlic bread that had zero garlic flavor. The lunchmeat on the salad was the lowest quality luncheon meat where it was difficult to know which meat was which. We couldn't finish the salads due to the basement-quality nature of them. From beginning to end, Olive Oils wins the worst take-out experience this family...
