First off, I just wanna say my frustration is not with the workers at the Pizza Hut or the food itself. Joel was cool and helpful. My frustration is primarily with the corporate decision to use door dash delivery.
Story I order pizza from this location via the Pizza Hut app around 5:30pm. The app said the estimated delivery time was 6:09pm. At 6:45pm still no pizza and the app said the door dash driver was still waiting to pick up the order but that seemed weird, so I called the store and the worker said that door dash had picked it up already. I push a bit and got him to say it had happened 15 minutes earlier.
At 7:30pm…still no pizza. I called Pizza Hut back and the worker was cool. He remade the order and apologized for the wait. So that’s appreciated.
While waiting I talked to door dash customer support via their app and was able to get them to refund the service fee / tip. A guy from door dash called me and I asked for some sort of compensation since their service failed so hard. Ultimately he decided there wasn’t going to be any compensation. The logic was that we only used their partner services and not the Door Dash app directly.
In the end the first order never came. It seems like the Door Dasher just stole our order and peaced out. The second replacement order did end up coming around 8:30pm, 3 hours after placing the original order.
I really hate that Pizza Hut outsources delivery to Door dash because your delivery can just fall into a black hole and finding accountability is really tough. I think I may be done ordering...
Read moreFor the second time I ordered a Supreme Pizza and the red onions were burnt again. I called the first time after receiving my delivery and Nicole apologized, and offer me a credit... Got another one last evening, and a again burnt onions (black), and Supreme toppings were very little! Tried calling the location ( Bethel Park ) and no one ever answered the phone. Also while I was present to pick up my order this time..they allowed two individuals ( 2 young teenagers) to wait inside the store while not wearing any masks during covid-19!! Very disappointed!! This is the second occurrence with burnt onions.. My guess is you cannot get a Supreme Pizza without burnt vegetables!!! Very unhappy about the pizza and that no one could answer the phone when I called! Also the fact that they ARE NOT requiring people to wear face masks! And if you record any of this on camera it was about 8:55-9:00pm when I picked my order...
Read moreThis Pizza Hut was accepting online orders for carryout on Saturday 10/23/21 at 5:17pm and then when the customer travels to the restaurant to pick up the order they find the doors locked and a sign on the front door that says "Closed Until Further Notice" and then the customer returns home without any pizza but logs onto the credit card account that was used to order and finds out that their credit card was charged $28.29 even though no pizza or service was provided. It then took weeks and threats to get police involved before this Pizza Hut finally and reluctantly issued credit to Visa card and they could only process the credit with the card presented in person ! Customer then discovers that this Pizza Hut has been doing this on many weekends, raking in thousands of dollars by taking online orders and then closing the store so the orders can't be picked up. ...
