Wow, 1st, let's give credit and a shout out to Emily with the most amazing customer service! Customer Service is #1 to me. A place can have the best food but if the customer service is lacking I'll never return and make sure to same my friends and family the trip. The food... my wife had the chicken with mushroom with fried yuca and platano maduros as her sides. Everything on her plate was cooked perfectly and VERY flavorful. I had the Cazuela de frijoles, which is stewed red beans over white rice as the base with platano maduros chicharon, chorizo, and flank steak cut up into small pieces and put over the rice and beans. To top the dish off, there's a perfectly fried over medium egg and sliced avocado. While the dish was delicious, I would prefer to get it again but with everything separated (which you can!) Because the chicharon became soft and unapatizing, so I had to pick them all out of my plate. We started with the chicken empanada, which everyone should do! Soooooo good!! I also ordered the hot chocolate with oat milk, which made the standard Latino way that I grew up with, with the block chocolate 👌 A must try for everyone. The not so great part.... my passion fruit topped cream pie with 2 sliver layers of chocolate cake. I am a huge parcha fan, but this was a disappointment. The passion fruit tasted off with a bad aftertaste and felt like too much gelatin was added. The rest of the dessert lacked any flavor. My wife had the sweet bread stuffed with Guava. Though I'm not a fan of Guava, this was delicious! The bread was fresh and soft and perfection! Overall, I would 100% recommend this place... just don't get the chicharon mixed into your food. Make sure to get it separately so it doesn't...
Read moreWas here for the first time a couple weeks ago with family. I'm familiar with Colombian food and I had the Bandeja Paisa and enjoyed it, along with a Mango Batida and Natural Lime/Lemonade drink which I also enjoyed. I did also try the empanada and pan de bono, with no complaints on my end. In my opinion, everything I tried was flavorful and fresh. I'm not one to complain but the server could have been on top of things a little better but I give younger waiters/waitresses the benefit as I too was younger and no one is perfect (Example: Waiter could have come to the table to clear off plates a lot sooner considering we were a group of 8 and empty plates were sitting there for a long period of time. But no BIG deal, just something for them to work on.)
Last but not least and actually something that my wife and I were disappointed in is that our baby who is only 6 months old needed a diaper changing(number 2) but there was no baby changing table in the Mens and/or Women's Restroom so my sister and my wife both went into the restroom and somehow got him changed. This I believe is 100% a necessity for this business to invest in ASAP, unless they're not wanting young family's with children to spend money at their establishment. I had my cousin ask me about this place who he too has little kids and I had to let him know about the baby situation upfront.
Either way, my family and I enjoyed ourselves and the food was good. Would like to come here again but we personally will have to think twice considering we have the baby to...
Read morePretty disappointed today been here several times and never had an issue came in today with a friend as we were both starving had not eaten all day had a bandeja paisa which we shared right after we left about 20min later she threw up I had the worst stomach pain ever something was bad could it had been the rice or beans but something definitely made us both sick sad because I had purchased empanadas and icee which I won’t give it to my son fearing he might get sick too… won’t be back for a very long time… In response to yours reply….speaking from a restaurant manager that would not be the case something was off being 2 people got sick (Thursday update both people still have the same harsh stomach pain as if food poisoning) from the food eaten at your place it was right after your places. while I was being easy on my review your lack of ignorance and no care says alot about the care you have for your customers at times it is not at first bite that you can tell food was off unless it was completely rotten at the time something in your food was just going bad is what I said in my initial review and was consumed by 2 patron’s I have had bandeja paisa before just because my husband is Colombian so I know we’ll on the culture of the meal I had I thank God I didn’t give my son the empanadas purchased or flan in fear he would get sick. I Thank you for your response and hope you get to clear out the flies from the...
