I originally learned about The Greenhouse Tea Room from an article in The Morning Call and was fascinated by the owners’ backstory—two retired state troopers turning their passion into such a beautiful and refined space. As someone who supports law enforcement, I was especially curious to see what a tea room envisioned by two gentlemen with such a unique background would be like. The answer? Absolutely wonderful.
From the moment I stepped into The Greenhouse Tea Room, I knew I was in for something special. Owners James and Richard were not only personable, but deeply involved in ensuring every guest enjoyed an unforgettable tea experience. Their hands-on approach and warm hospitality set the tone for what turned out to be an extraordinary brunch.
The ambience was nothing short of stunning. Every element—light fixtures, artwork, wallpaper, china, even candles —was thoughtfully chosen to create an atmosphere that was classy without being stuffy. I was especially impressed by the attention to detail, like the smallest fuchsia fleck in the wallpaper perfectly tying into a teacup pattern or a chair cushion. It made the space feel curated and intentional in the most charming way.
The staff was accommodating, attentive, and genuinely friendly (Thank you Eva & Sara!) The food itself was unbelievable—the perfect pairing of sweet and savory. My personal favorite was the tomato and basil scone, which was bursting with fresh flavor. The tea selection was equally impressive, with unique blends that elevated the experience even further.
If you’re looking for self-care, I’d suggest rethinking your next trip to the salon or spa. Instead, book yourself a brunch here. From dining on lovely china to being treated with genuine care, I left feeling restored and completely uplifted. It was exactly the pick-me-up I didn’t know I needed.
Thank you everyone at The Greenhouse Tea Room – it was a truly...
Read moreMy mom and I had the pleasure of visiting The Green House Tea Room today and couldn’t have imagined a better experience! The moment we walked in we could feel how special this place was. The beautifully restored Victorian house was cozy and elegant and the attention to detail was impressive. We enjoyed speaking with the kind and enthusiastic owners and learning a bit of history about the house and surrounding area. The food was delicious. The curried egg-salad finger sandwiches, sweet potato scones, and goat cheese stuffed dates were the stand outs for me, but honestly everything was amazing. The staff was so knowledgeable and attentive and really made us feel special! Thank you!! The tea selection was also wonderful. From the bourbon street rooibos to the chocolate mint black tea.. it’s hard to pick a favorite! The Green House Tea Room really exceeded our expectations and we’re already looking forward to...
Read moreWe went here to celebrate my moms birthday earlier this week. First off, the building and rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The owners did a fantastic job renovating the home back to its former glory. As far as food, everything was delicious. The tea service comes with an assortment of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. They were also very accommodating for some of the groups allergies/ vegetarianism. This tearoom was unique in that you can try as many different types of tea offered on the menu as you like. You arent limited to just one pot of a single tea flavor. Service was incredible. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive. She even offered us free Mimosas for my moms birthday. I highly recommend going here for a truly...
