Incredible food. Unbelievable service. Amazing experience.
For personal reasons, eating out hasn't been on the table much at all lately. Lately as in March of 2020, and not much at all as in twice.
Today was a day for celebration and called for a treat. I've read so many great things about Mikey's but yet to give them a try. The restaurant called to verify my special request notes prior to starting our meal - a really lovely touch.
The delivery driver (thru slice) called when he was out front. I want unable to make it to the door and asked he leave it, which he kindly did. Once able to grab my order I noticed an item was missing. And then became concerned when I didn't see any curly fries (do not fret, they were hidden under a mountain of delicious onion rings) and the missing cheese (which was just so perfectly melted it was hard to tell from the mayo). Panicked I called the driver and my missing item and that I wasn't sure I got the right order.
He was so kind and apologetic. Said he was heading back to Mikey's and would get it sorted and asked if I would call to give a heads up. Upon further review I realized the half our order received was perfect (as noted above, a Mikey's newbie was overwhelmed by the abundance in the super beef plate) and that I was just missing the calzone. Before he made it back, the owner called to verify everything and ensure we were happy.
The driver popped by with a steaming hot chicken Parm calzone, kind smile and more unnecessary apologies.
The food was delicious too, on to of everything. Fresh, hot, huge portions, great prices. Thank you,...
Read moreIt wasn't possible to leave a zero start review. Right from the get go, the woman came to the door to shake her finger "no-no" at me, implying my service animal wasn't allowed in. No big problem, I went and sat in the car. Sent my boyfriend in to go and get a take out menu so we could look from in inside our car and then go in and order. He asked for a menu, "they claimed they didn't have any". The woman was rude, and snarled at him the entire time. He again asked the gentleman behind the counter, whom also replied..."no menus".....how does a pizza and sub place not have menus? Your business relies on menus so customers can order food off of it and then exchange money for goods and services. If you dont have menus then you cant make money. Period. I have never frequented an establishment that didn't have menus when your main area of expertise is food. That's like foot locker saying they're out...
Read moreStop your car and go in! I have driven by here for a month and placed a phone order tonite. My Junior beef was incredible (and the size of most Supers) with rare beef on an amazing bun both soft and sturdy. I also ordered onion rings which were ready 3 minutes after my arrival so that they were perfectly hot. I was greeted like family, asked what condiments I needed and as someone who has been in person to four carry out places in two years, it was an exceptional experience. Of note, I called 30 minutes before close and got my food 15 minutes before close. My food was as fresh as if it were high noon and the warmth and welcome from Mikey’s was as though I was their long-time customer. Please support our local businesses - they surely supported and...
