Bernie's Place — Restaurant in Big Rapids

I am extremely upset with how down hill this place is going and has gone in the past year. This use to be my favorite place but with all the new workers I've been ignored several times in store and at drive through. They never have danishes anymore and I just can't get over how rude these young girls are to the customers. I miss the old ladies who were kind, quick and awesome at their jobs. This was my 2nd experience at Bernies today, the first time was after a fun night with a few co workers, a friend introduced me to the place. Today my son and I returned after my doctor's appointment and once again I was amazed at how great this place is. The prices do not match the quality of how well this food is prepared and taste. Cute and clean, but plain and slightly dated restaurant. Great location though. Nice variety of donuts and the Apple Pie filled donut was delicious. We also liked the strawberry smoothie. Very refreshing and not too sweet. The turkey and Swiss croissant was good, but not great and it wasn't heated up enough. The service was super nice though. Overall, I would recommend this place. There's nothing fancy or gourmet about this place, but the prices are very fair and you get your food quickly. Nice step up...
