Sawmill Saloon — Restaurant in Big Rapids

My wife is a cancer patient. She smokes a CBD cartridge out of a vape pen. Everybody vapes in this bar, even the karaoke person. I don't ask them what's in there vape pen. The law states says no cigarette smoking. Anyway, the "singing bartender" approached my wife and said, there is no THC smoking in this bar to the both of us. My wife said, i don't do THC, I do CBD. He said, no I know what that is and it's THC. I said Really, I said this is Not a THC vape pen. He said, yes, that is THC because it's a vape pen. I told him there are CBD cartridges that use a vape pen. Are you accusing us if that? He said yes. Cash only. Dog friendly...I have been here several times and left feeling like I am a part of their community. They demonstrate their investment in their community and the world as evidenced by supporting a fundraiser for Michigan citizens for water conservation! They also have a fire pit outside. They put on Wednesday open microphone night. The environment is clean and conducive to a community watering hole. Games: pool table, horse shoes, darts. Live music, karaoke. I live in New Mexico now but friends I made here are still friends. I long to get back and visit my Sawmill friends. Unique place! Neat historical bar with tons ofocal history on its walls. Locally owned.

We were pleasantly surprised at the burgers and fries. They don't have a full kitchen so it is made right at the bar. The burgers and fries were both delicious! The bartender was kind and friendly. We were there pretty easy, but this place looks like it would e a ton of fun later on. They have the best outdoor area: Back porch sitting, gorgeous fenced in back yard with lot of activities like a disc golf net and bags, a fire pit, etc. They also have a stage for live music and a piano.
