I do not recommend the LJS at location in Big Spring, TX. At first walk up to dine in at Register, the Manager walked up and asked in a condescending tone, if we had looked at the Menu. We stated yes and we were ready to order. We then asked the manager if there was a reason he asked the question, he stated again with passive aggressiveness that he just wanted to make sure we looked at the menu and then walked away. Another gentleman came to take our order and we asked him what was going on; however, he just started and was not aware of what the Manager was doing. Manager then came back to register area and asked again if we had looked at the menu, and we again said yes. The Manager then said then you know we are out of items and we have only chicken, fish and fries only. We stated that we did not know and if he could give a clear understanding of the unavailable items. Again with a higher passive aggressive tone, the manager then pointed to the menu and said it shows on the menu what is unavailable. I then noticed the small yellow unavailability marking next to those items that were not available. I then stated that, I see now and the Manager then talked down to me in a humiliating tone and repeated "Oh Now You See" laughed and walked away. It appeared he was baiting customers into an argument by not explaining himself properly and having a bad attitude when asking for further explanation. I asked why he had to respond in such manner and he proceeded to argue with me and eventually did not allow the newbie to take our order and kicked us out. The Manager could have politely stated, "Currently we have some items unavailable. If you take a look at the menu, you will see those items in yellow as unavailable." But he did not do so. When I asked for his name. He said "Seven" and when I asked for a Corporate number, he said, "You can Google it." Since no information was available in the store other than a Food Managers Certificate, I took a picture of that. When the manager saw me, he then said his name by spelling it out "E-R-I-C-J-U-A-R-E-Z". At this point, I was no longer allowing him to continue to upset me or continue the argument with him. I did not appreciate at all how we were treated. We were from out of town, and we had not noticed the changes to the menu. Normally we order online, but it was not busy...
Read moreThe manager likes to whistle in a very rude way at the customers he doesn’t give you long to look at the menu and if you don’t know what you want he starts to get very rude and ugly so I did my best to hurry in order to not upset him. me and my boyfriend went to go sit down to eat our food not only was our food very small portion not even enough for a child to eat & not cooked properly but as we’re sitting there my boyfriend notices that he’s starting to be rude to these two gentlemen that have walked in mind you one man was blind. The other man was a little hard on hearing they ordered their food. The manager was very rude and ugly to him I could hear!! then my boyfriend tells me that the Manager throws the customers money back at him and says to the customer if he can’t afford the food here he needs to go to McDonald’s. I have worked in the fast food industry, almost my whole life, and I have never ever thought of treating someone like that, especially those who are blind or handicap or anything of that nature I will not be returning and I do not like the fact that when my boyfriend tried to call corporate to let them know what was going On the manager was the one to call. I don’t like the fact that the manager was also very rude to my boyfriend the manager even called him a liar when we were there for everything!!! so if he’s gonna whistle at customers like we’re dogs, be very rude to anybody and everybody that goes in there and you’re gonna be rude to the blind & the handicap, you will not have our business and it’s the same manager posted in the other reviews below. Just FYI long John silver this is why your running out of business it’s the people you hire & you let the managers take care of complaints no it should be...
Read moreLong John Sulvers in Big Spring TX. The food was hot and fresh, as it was made to order. The food was outstanding! The front counter staff looked a little suspect... While eating dinner inside the resteaunt, I observed a very suspicious character walk in and three employees went to the counter to speak with the guy that walked in. The cook told the guy at the counter to meet him at the back of the restraunt near the back door. Minutes later I smelled an odor of smoked Marijuana filling the dining area. I got up and walked to the front counter. I could see light coming in from the back area where the back door was open and observed smoke entering the establishment. An employee came to front counter and I asked him about the odor of Marijuana. The employee said that it was not him and he was not involved as the other employees were. I departed the restraunt and drove by the back door area. I observed the very suspicious person and the rest of the long john silvers employees smoking what I observed to be trolled cigarettes as I believe to be Marijuana. All persons at the back door did not attempt to hide the joints and continued normal activity in smoking. I will not return to that Long John Silvers again and would not recommend anyone that has integrity to ever frequent that...
