Worst Service Ever!!!!!
The food was decent, but not consistently excellent. Would have liked to say the fish tacos were great, but they came without pico de gallo and the accompanying sauces were not edible. REALLY FOUL TASTING - and I grew up eating Mexican food, love fresh cilantro.
Nobody asked us about how our food was. Even the waiter who originally took our order allocated us literally 20 seconds and was running away from us while I tried to ask a question. We did not tip...something we never do, because the service was non-existent.
We had to ask for our bill, and when it still hadn't arrived and we walked to the front there was a wise cracking, insolent employee who argued with us about having "asked the bartender" to take care of it....the bar tender being the one person out of 10 staff that we could see, who was doing something. Someone should educate this adolescent that his attitude was exceptionally childish. If a customer leaves his seat to approach the counter to ask for a bill because he's been ignored for far too long, and you are the one he approaches, and ten minutes later he and his date (with cane) are trying to leave and standing in front of you STILL trying to access a bill and they are now waiting for you to manage to assemble it....it IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY no matter who you told...and arguing with them about whether or not their customer experience was substandard when they can clearly see 10 employees AND THEY ARE STILL WAITING is just petty and ridiculous. Good thing I am not your manager....you'd be unemployed.
We might have ordered dessert, but no one asked us if we wanted any. We might have talked to the manager, but none of the four people behind the counter thought it was their responsibility to get said manager. The consistent refrain from the argumentative employee. "They just came on". We already knew that because at least four of them walked by us and then by us again in the other direction. 20 minutes into their shift, they might have checked to see if a customer needed something. One of them did take our dishes away, but didn't bother to ask how our experience was, if we needed anything, or to tell anyone we might need to be approached. There were consistently more employees in the restaurant than patrons, but service? Not a one of them wanting to work.
One exception....the guy who brought us chips and salsa and who brought extra napkins. He was not a waiter, and I am guessing did not speak English, but the young kids having a social event...need training at best, perhaps to look for a position where the customer experience is not the thing you...
Read moreService: 5/5; greeted quickly as we walked in the door by a pleasant young man who seemed to be doing quite a bit around the restaurant by himself (and doing it well in all aspects, professional and kind). Young lady ensured our chips and salsa dishes were filled throughout the meal. Atmosphere: 5/5; very authentic Mexican feel and when I ordered off the menu in the language it was appreciated by the staff. Food: 3/5; Chips and Queso were delicious. ACP: I made this an ACPC meal, by adding shrimp. Not the traditional ACC meal I’m used to considering that it wasn’t over a cheese sauce. It was over a red sauce and the cheese was in between the meat and the rice. The chicken was a bit under flavored and could’ve used some more spice in my opinion, and my history with ordering the dish and other authentic Mexican places. Burrito bowl (carnitas): 2.5/5; My wife gave the burrito bowl a five out of 10, similar notes on the meat being under flavored and the dish itself, not having a ton of flavor and spice. Overall, the food was OK but the atmosphere and the staff more than made up for any downfalls in that area. Definitely a place worth checking out if you’re interested in having authentic Mexican food, but I do hope they add a bit more spice to your dish! Drinks (4/5): La Paloma was a bit sweet but good, and Presidente margarita was delicious and boozy as it should be...
Read moreCasa Blanca is my first choice for Mexican food in the Billerica area. The food is authentic and tasty. Chips and salsa are provided with every meal and the chips are always fresh and hot. The salsa is is delicious and it could be a little spicier, but none the less I empty that little bowl in just a few minutes only to have it replaced just as quickly. This is great, but I have to actively tell myself not to fill up on it before my actual meal comes because it's just so good. If you're like me then one of the things you really judge a Mexican restaurant on is their guac. It is fantastic. Smooth and creamy whilst also chunky with some great flavor. A nice hot chip with some fresh guac is just to die for here. So the actual food, if you have space enough for it, is also fantastic. I'm a burrito guy so that's mainly what I get to eat here. I've had a few different ones and I've loved them all, but for me the street burrito is where it is at. Rice and beans inside the burrito instead of on the plate so you can just pick it up and smash all that flavor right into your mouth with no fork to hold you back. If you love Mexican food, go here. If you don't like Mexican food, go here and find out you actually love Mexican food. All this being said, you'll have great meal and when the bill comes, you won't break the bank because the prices are very reasonable. Thank you,...
