Second best store with a grill, for steak & cheese. UPDATE 5.1.25: The worst visit I've ever had here. I'm very disappointed. I was running behind on making dinner, so I decided to call ahead to order at the Market Kitchen, 4 sandwiches (which we get to do maybe once every other month as a treat). One steak & cheese plain, one steak & cheese w/ peppers&onions, toasted (both with provolone cheese) and two BLT melts w/ white American cheese, a pretty simple and straightforward order. I was given a wait time of 35 minutes from Nicole, who took my order. Upon my arrival, I saw my order completed, but the employees were attending to other customers. I'm not a rude person, so I was not going to interrupt. I politely waited until my turn to retrieve my order. I checked out and drove home (about a 15 minute drive). When I got home, I handed out each sandwich and that's when I was struck by disappointment. My steak & cheese which was supposed to be toasted, looked like it was not. Ok, that was the first thing that was noticed just on my sandwich. Now the second was opening up my sandwich to find it had barely anything in it. When I picked them up, they felt really light, I thought nothing of it at the time. I sure wish I had opened the bag up fully to inspect it, yet I thought to myself, I've never had a bad sandwich from here, so I'm sure it's fine. Man was I wrong! Ok, moving on to sandwich number two, the second steak & cheese. Now this one was not to be toasted, nor did it have any other items incorporated in it. Upon opening up the sandwich we noticed what appeared to be a white string of sorts melted to the outside of the sub roll. Next the sub was opened up and there were more of this "mystery string" inside the sub. Not only should this have not even been there but the sub had chunks of onions and peppers in it, yet it was ordered as a plain steak & cheese as previously mentioned! What if someone in my family had an allergy to these and they went unnoticed and then was consumed? I'd be on my way to the hospital. That sub could have killed one of my family members!!! This is unacceptable and could have posed a huge health problem!! Now, onto the third & fourth sandwich, two simple BLT melts on wheat. The bacon was not only under cooked (I had to nuke it in my microwave), but there was hardly any in both sandwiches. This is also unacceptable!! I tried contacting the store about my concerns and of course, all I got was the runaround. I will not recommend this Demoulas Market Basket, Market Kitchen to anyone. And because of my visit today I'm leary about going back to this store again for my subs. Hey, management, if you are reading this, the least you could do is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom the moment you walk through the doors of the Market Basket on Boston Road in Billerica, you're immediately welcomed by an atmosphere of cleanliness and organization. It's truly remarkable how they manage to maintain such a pristine shopping environment, making every visit an absolute pleasure.
The heart and soul of this place, though, is undoubtedly its staff. The cashiers embody the spirit of friendliness and efficiency. They have a knack for making each customer feel special, turning every transaction into a joyful interaction rather than a mundane chore.
Another highlight is the broad aisles that stretch out before you, offering an almost endless range of everything you could ever need - and more! It's like stepping into a veritable cornucopia of consumer delights, with the certainty that you'll find what you're looking for. Not to mention, they always manage to keep their shelves fully stocked, so you never have to worry about missing out on your favorite items.
However, the jewel in the crown has to be their produce section. The fresh fruits are nothing short of phenomenal, their quality unmatched and their freshness unbeatable. You'll find the colors of the rainbow reflected in the variety and vibrancy of their fruits.
One of the best things about this Market Basket is their pricing. Theyāve managed to marry quality and affordability in a way that truly brings value to their customers. It's one of the many reasons why this place stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Of course, there will always be those "Digital Karens" who find a way to complain about the smallest things, disregarding the exceptional quality that this Market Basket brings. It's important to remember that such nitpicking often speaks more about the reviewer than the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Sub shop has a girl Alana who gives you an attitude if she has to do anything, she left me waiting to get a sub made while she was bagging up chicken they put on heat racks, another employee ran out back when they saw me coming, I waited for about 10 minutes and asked Alana if the sub shop was open? She replied that it would be easier if I picked from the heat rack a chicken parm sub, but I wanted a cold cut sub and she said "I guess I could do that" and waited another 5 minutes for her to finish bagging up pre-made chicken and then she had to wash her hands and change her gloves, she gave me attitude the whole time. went so slow, and purposely put little amount of toppings on had to consistently ask her to put more on who eats a sub with 2 cut up tomatoes she was purposely being difficult! Literally it took 30 minutes to get a sub that takes 5 minutes to make, other people in line left because it took so long. This girl shouldn't be working in the sub shop or around customers maybe doing something where she doesn't have to deal w people, idk will be going to a different market basket for my sub...
