One of the best fast food stores in town - I believe they have a longtime manager and it shows. The staff are almost always trying their absolute best, and that store gets very busy! The wait is usually reasonable (Taco Johns actually used to market themselves for taking longer to make the food right, they are not supposed to be the fastest). I think I have gotten one wrong order in the past six years living nearby, which is fantastic, no restaurant is going to be perfect. Also, if you love an old fashioned taco salad in the fried shell, all the Taco Johns are pretty good, but the one I got last night looked better than the fancy ones (it used to be very trendy) back in the day! Simple but fresh tasting shell and a very generous amount of taco meat. Plus super oles are the "casserolization" of nachos, and I am 100% here for it, excellent West-Mex concept. I dont usually leave such enthusiastic reviews for fast food places, but the cleanliness, the service, and the food being 99% correct & delicious deserves a few paragraphs. Plus if it is still the longtime manager running the place, she is a hoot and I love chatting with her, she takes such pride in doing her best in a very...
Read moreUpon arriving at this establishment I noticed no exterior lights on and the drive thru menu was not lit either so we checked the hours on the door which reflected open until 11 :00 PM. We decided to order at the drive thru around 9:15 PM and were greeted by a very rude male (pictured) and he would not let me finish my order and continously kept repeating "is that it? what?" and to top it off he messed up a very simple order. I pulled up to the window and was greeted by a very nice woman who was very polite and helpful. I let her know that I asked for an extra order of potato oles but the guy did not relay that so she offered me an option to make the oles large size for an extra dollar or add one order at full price so we opted for the one dollar upsize. The rude male then looked at me, scowled then rolled his eyes. I can understand having a bad shift but if that is the case then he should not be working with the public. If you see this male employee in the pictures I would suggest going some place else or avoiding...
Read moreI love to go to Taco John's over Taco Bell any day because of the quality differences.. but friday afternoon (feb. 22, 2019) it was one of my worst experiences by far.. My food was all crammed into one bag which then smashed all of my food.. I got a $25 plus order: 2 grilled tacos, 6-pack mexi rolls, street taco trio (steak), a softshell, and a medium order of oles with sour cream/ nacho cheese (all in one bag). I was disappointed by the presentation because the standards are always higher.. the street tacos were primarily fat than steak, the soft shells were split down the middle.. the grilled tacos were like mush and had a weird texture to them. While eating the food with my gf, we noticed it had a different taste to it.. I'm super disappointed because I have been to this location plenty of times, but will now avoid it when and if possible.. i have great experiences at EVERY other location than this...
