HotSpot — Restaurant in Birmingham

My family and I normally make large orders at this establishment. Just last night we ordered two 10 piece wing combos. When my husband picked up the order the manager emphasized he was late picking up the food, but my husband apologized and they moved forward. Bring the food home the chicken was raw and pink, I told my husband to stop eating and contact the company because I’m sure they would fix the issue. Once my husband was able to talk to the manager, my husband emphasized that if we were late, they had more than enough time to cook the food. The owner then responded aggressively and told my husband he should have arrived on time and told him he didn’t have the intent to fix it, nor did he care and then hung up the call in his face. I tried to rectify the situation and called back to get a refund, and they come back just to say all sales are final. This company’s customer service is a joke, and the manager is rude. It’s one thing to sell someone raw chicken but this was a meal for my family. We didn’t finish the meal for obvious reasons but the company left a bad taste in my mouth. My previous review: Best Chicken Birmingham. I hate what it has come to. I have been eating here for about 3-4 years. The food was good 90% of the time, but I started noticing waiting for food the surroundings. At times, I would see a small roach. I thought nothing of it, maybe it came in on a customer. But my last two visits, I was like, "OK, somebody killed this roach and didn't clean it up." Back in April 2025 (my first picture). So I came in on May 17th, and boom, another roach in the same spot.

So I went to Google, searched "Hotspot huffman roaches," and BOOM!saw reviews with roaches in their food. I was instantly shocked and disappointed. I can't eat here anymore. I got to thinking while waiting for my food and watching Black customers get their food—they don't care about serving their majority Black customer base good, clean food.

From the roaches to the soggy steak fries, I can't eat here anymore I jus get the idea that none of them would eat the food themselves I can no longer eat here...

I’ve been here a couple of times . It’s definitely a Hit or Miss, sometimes good sometimes bad. Yall really have to do something about the customer service , it’s ridiculous. I can only imagine what the kitchen staff has to deal with especially dealing with that red head girl, she always got a nasty attitude for no reason to EVERYONE that was there including my self . Why is it that she is getting in an attitude with elders that obviously can’t hear and got a whole hearing aid ? Projection, perhaps ? Maybe so . First time i witnessed it I was like maybe a bad day , okay whatever , we’re are human . but you mean to tell me the 3/4 times ive been there it’s ALWAYS an attitude? no ma’am . 1/10 ! Do not recommend simply for the customer service .
