This about 7:o'clock in the evening, I order slab special with 2 sides of bake beans and 3 pieces of catfish paid $49 and some change. When I got my ribs there were only 9 bones in the plate short ribs not big as you hands not enough in the plate to feed family of four. When I call back while still the parking lot I spoke with the manager. A lady with burgundy hair and ear rings in her noise. She came out to my car opened the box touch the paper with in the box with no gloves on . I told her a slab of ribs consist of 12 bones and she said no 10-12 and I me did I want 1 more bone. I took the plate to the drive through window and told her "I am a Nurse ma'am and you touch my food with no gloves on and COVID IS ON THE ARISE AND REQUEST FOR ANOTHER PLATE WITH WHAT I PAID FOR AND SHE TOLD ANOTHER LADY TO CALL THE POLICE ON ME. I SAID "THE POLICE FOR NOT WANTING THIS PLATE YOU PLACE THE PAPER BACK ON THE FOOD IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN YOU START COUNTING THE BONES ON THE PLATE. INSI WITHOUT NOT HAVING GLOVE ON". THEN SHE LEFT THE WINDOW AND HISPANIC MALE CAME TO THE WINDOW AND STATE "I RE -MADE YOU ANOTHER PLATE AND HE SHOWED ME HIS HANDS STAING SEE ma'am "My HANDS ARE CLEAN AND HE DID NOT HAVE ANY GLOVES ON. AFER THE HISPANICE SAID THAT TO ME SHE THEN TOLD EVERYONE IN THE STORE TO BUT THERE GLOVES ON. Read moreUgh! It pains me to leave such a low review. We used to order here all the time! Some time ago we stopped because the service had gotten so terrible. I decided after a while to give them another shot because I love their ranch and salads. Before today, our last few orders and service were not acceptable. Food-wise, everyone is entitled to a bad day, and it was ultimately the service that lost our business. Today, I placed an order and after my money was taken, I was told to park and wait. The wait wasn't terribly long, but I spend most of my day on the go and did not feel much like waiting today. At about the 10-minute mark, I asked for a refund but was told that my food was coming out. When the lady arrived at the car, I asked for a receipt and was told that I would have to get back in line. I simply asked if it was possible to hand the receipt out the window and was met with an unnecessary attitude. Because of this, I asked for a refund. The bag was snatched from me, and my refund receipt was handed to me out of the window. The same way that I had asked for my payment receipt to be given to me. This experience was so unnecessary. Sometimes your customers would like to know before paying that there will be a wait. Again, although the wait wasn't long, I would have appreciated being given the option to pay and wait. Aside from this, customer service is something that so many places lack now. Please keep in mind that aside from the food, customer retention can be greater with...
Read moreIt's quite disappointing to have a huge appetite for BBQ or fish, and have only this place as an option because it's nearby. The place looks a mess--inside, outside, and the drive-thru, especially. I've always wondered why it closed for a while then reopened. I still don't know why, but if it was based on the food, the decor, or service, I understand now why it closed. The place is totally unacceptable. Nothing about the place is appealing. As I was waiting in the drive-thru, I questioned whether an establishment like this (in its current state) would thrive in a location, such as Homewood, Liberty Park, or Hoover. And I'm certain the answer would be a resounding "no," because customers/patrons in those areas hold their neighborhood restaurants to a higher standard. As customers/patrons, when we don't require standards at all, restaurants don't try to provide us with any. Why would Costa's BBQ spend money on better decor, quality food, or better customer service, when no one is speaking about how unacceptable these things are. To me, this place says, "we don't care about you, just come and get this pork and greasy food because we know we're the nearest BBQ place within miles."
It's frustrating and sad to witness a restaurant take advantage of its patrons like this.
Dear Costa BBQ Owners, would you do the people of Centerpoint, Roebuck, Pinson, Clay/Chalkville, & Grayson Valley a favor and improve your food, decor, and customer service? Thank...
