Most awful experience I have ever had at a dealership. Never even looked inside or test drove the vehicle I was looking at and wanted. Immediately taken in the back in some broke down looking seating area to go in a run down office and talk to a guy that was rude. So immediately I'm not feeling comfortable. He wants pay stubs, drivers license, and starts running my credit. After I've already filled out an online application and been called by someone from the delearship and spoke with the finance manager at the delearship and was told I was approved and to come pick up my car. I have a verbal guarantee. This guy that's running my credit says they don't anything about my credit, that's just to get you in here. Quoted that the interest rate would be no more than 13%, and I wouldn't have to pay anything down. That was all a lie. The first day I was there, they said I'd have to come back the next day because they were waiting on 1 more thing from the bank. So, I said ok. They called the next morning and said for the vehicle I wanted, they could do it with my payments around $350-$400 with $300 down. So, I said I would be up there shortly. When I got there they pulled around the building in a car that wasn't what I wanted and said this it what we can get you in for that payment amount just drive it, and think about it. He starts talking to my husband trying to convince him to get it, while I'm not liking this vehicle and he knows it. And goes to get some numbers for us. Brings back a paper with a payment of $535 a month. The vehicle price was $500 less than Clean retail price, and looked like it had been side swiped on the passenger side, it had a problem with alignment, rotor, or something. There was easily $3000 of cosmetic damage, not to mention the nastiness of the inside of the car. Price gouging. As well, the 13% max was topped out at 20.5%, while the salesperson said he didn't know what the interest rate was. Hello, get the payment amount total price financed, and get on the internet and look it up. Its pretty simple. So, would they honestly think someone that can a maximum of $300 down, could afford a $535 a month Payment? And how could sleep at night, knowing that you financed someone for a vehicle they couldn't afford? I guess it wouldn't bother you because it doesn't affect you, right? No, eventually the domino effect will happen and your business won't have a lender to go to. I hope your business is shut down. Even the calculator online with each vehicle, with credit categories for the payment amount, is WAY OFF. $368 vs. $535. I'd say it's more than a little off. So, $300, changed to nothing down, 13%, changed to 20.5%, and the payment at $350-$400, changed to $535. I'd say that's way false information...
Read moreBought a used ford f150 2009 king ranch from Andy Knight. First truck/vehicle I ever bought myself. Went through the carfax and I drove it twice at Iron City. Crazy the thing ran while I test drove it both times. When I finally ready to buy, I went through the whole buying process which is mentality taxing. Andy let me see all the specs and check the engine bay so he could confirm that I trust in him and this vehicle. Once I drove it off the lot, the nightmare began. About two weeks on a Monday, I got up to go to work and the engine wouldn’t turn over. Everything electronically worked as if the truck had turned over but the engine never started. So I called jasper ford, they told me it was the fuel Fuse relay, cost 450 to fix, drove it off the lot like new. Same problem occurred that following Saturday, I called Andy asking for the truth about the truth. He just shrugged it off saying there was nothing he could do, so now I have truck in my yard that runs 75% of the time. One day it runs. Then then the next day it doesn’t. It doesn’t even make a sound when I try and turn it over. Like I said when I turn the key all the way over everything electronically works as if it’s running, just it’s not running. I HIGHLY SUGGEST DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. ONCE YOU BUY AND THERE IS TROUBLE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE SAME KINDNESS AS WHEN YOU WERE ABOUT TO PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE. My salesman never cared and never told me the truth. For my first used car buying experience. This has left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only the experience but the brand itself. So when I get ready to buy a new truck. I’m going with CHEVY OR RAM. I just regret my decision. So I IMPLORE YOU SPARE YOURSELF THE SAME MISERY I HAVE and DO NOT BUY FROM IRON CITY FORD PLEASE!!
In terms of Service, I called Iron City Ford multiple times, I even called Andy Knight my salesman direct line. To no avail he will Not return my calls, or will he not help me figure why my truck is causing this much trouble. The service department doesn’t return calls and when I call they say they have left voicemails which I have an active voicemail with no call history from the service department. I bought this vehicle in terms of treating myself, because I worked hard to obtain this vehicle. But no one can explain to me why it runs half the time. I just wish he had told me the full truth. I know it’s an older vehicle but it should not be failing in this manner. I hate leaving negative reviews but I have had a negative experience. Guys do yourself a favor and go other places before settling on just one, Iron City was my first choice and my worst. I should’ve known better but now I will learn from this experience...
Read moreI called and make an appointment with iron city ford to have my dashboard readings fixed and also to into my check engine light that was on. o n getting there 1 was told that they charge $125 for diagnostics and they will let me know whats wrong with my ford escape 2014. I was told the spark plug needs to be changed Then I said ok change it and they did. I was told they were busy to go and that they ill give me as call once they find out the issue. thy gave me a temporary car to use while they were working on my car. I got a call back that it will be an extra charge to diagnose my car again IRON CITY FORD said it will be another $250 to check what's wrong with my car, then i was hoping I already paid for the diagnostic check, so I was told to come pick my car. On getting there I was told i have to replaced my engine and my total charge is $587 I was surprise and angry so I said I won't pay that amount, I escalated a little and he went to his boss and came back with $502. On getting home i realised IRON CITY FORD never fixed my dashboard reading I called many times and i was told email has been sent to the service manager that they will call me. No one called. I dove down to IRON CITY FORD and complained to the same guy listed on my receipt that my dashboard was not checked or fixed and he said I will have to pay another $250 to get my dashboard reading checked. My first time experience in IRON CITY FORD was a big regret and I will not recommend anyone to take their car there to fix and understand their charges and make sure your issue is fixed before you leave. A copy of my receipt is attached for review and I will like this issue to be highly addressed.
