Parkside on Fifth.. Newly renovated, Under New Management actually the Owner Tim..and his staff are amazing, super friendly and the entire establishment is very inviting.

I read several of the negative reviews and comments that are related to the previous managers of Parkside the Bar, and noted that those reviews were posted a year or more ago. The current business of Parkside on Fifth is owned and operated by the buildings owner Tim Burt. I must note that Tim, was heart broken about the dark cloud over his beloved building from the previous tenants. When the legal documents were clear, he decided to renovate and restore his brand name Parkside, and the building to reflect himself. Thus,Birmingham has PARKSIDE on Fifth which opened late spring of 2022 and has had nothing but great results, excellent Food from The Hot Box on the patio, and the outside bar as well. There is a inviting menu to feed your appetite, welcoming seating area in the patio which feels like home, delicious drinks from the bar, may I suggest "the Whitney" as you enjoy the most comforting atmosphere with very nice professional staff and their smiling faces. This Parkside on Fifth promises to give you the best experience with Sunday Brunch or perhaps a romantic evening out. Drinks with co workers, or just a quiet moment to reflect on your day with a bite and drinks, you'll come back for more as you introduce your family and friends to Parkside on Fifth it will quickly become one of your...

Every year a group of us look forward to participating in Birmingham Restaurant Week. We like too go to restaurants that we have never been to before. This year one of the restaurants we chose was Parkside on Fifth. We called ahead & made reservations. We went to the Marble Ring first & had a cocktail. Then we went next door to Parkside. We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our group. We all ordered from the Restaurant week menu. Most people had the tempura fried whole okra as a starter. The okra were delicious and the servings were huge. A few got the cowboy caviar with chips which was very good also. Everyone ordered the salmon that was served with delicious vegetables and a couscous salad. AND THE DESERTS!!! Parkside has its own pastry chief ! It is a real toss up as to wether the goat cheese cheesecake topped with lemon curd or the white chocolate bread pudding was more fabulous. The drinks were also very good & the wine pours were good, We were also lucky enough to meet Tim who owns Parkside. He is now our new best friend. He even gave us candles that I believe he has made. We went in late July so it was too hot to sit out side BUT OH THE PATIO !!!!! What a fabulous spot! We cannot wait for the temperature to get cooler so that we can return & sit outside. So if you are looking for a new spot , I strongly suggest you give Parkside a try & hopefully you’ll be able...

My girlfriend has always wanted to take me to this bar, but after the previous tenant revealed that he was hateful during the BLM movement we steered clear of it. She was so excited to hear that the building had been revamped and is under new ownership, so we visited last night! The building itself is gorgeous and the inside is very classy with lots of ambiance. We had two drinks, wings and a burger while we were inside and everything was delicious! 10/10! The back patio is very relaxed and open with comfy furniture, and while we were sitting outside with a few friends we met the owner of the building, Tim! He is such a kind and friendly guy, and he said that he saved the building from being condemned 22 years ago. He owned an interior design shop in it for a while and then rented it out to the guy who ran it as a bar until October 2021. He was heartbroken to hear that his tenant was so hateful and he was frustrated that he had no legal standing to kick him out. He explained that this building is his baby and he is so grateful to have it back so that he can create a space with “something for everyone”. We felt very safe and appreciated there, and we cannot wait...

Terrible experience. We went in at 2:30pm yesterday with a large group. We had a 3 month old with us, they wouldn’t let us in stating that it was “liquor laws” even though you guys serve food. We took our business next door to ferus, explained to them what happened and they were more than willing to have us come in and spend money. Later on we all went to tin roof and they were happy to accommodate us as well. Seems as though your guys that were working yesterday didn’t want to be there at all. I have posted a photo of our group at Ferus. I highly recommend everyone to check out Ferus right next door. The staff, food and drinks were AMAZING

I will never forgive myself for sleeping on Parkside for this long. Their food is AMAZING. Best fries in Birmingham. We've been twice now since discovering them. The fried chicken and steak tacos were other standouts, but seriously, get the fries. I can't even explain how good they are. Atmosphere wise, Parkside nails it. Dark and romantic inside with a lovely patio outside, perfect for a date night. I especially love that they have purse hooks at the bar. It's definitely worth a visit!
