Purple Onion — Restaurant in Birmingham

Had a young lady to take my order in which I think she didn't understand me in what I was asking for precisely. I asked the young lady if they had a plate that had chopped up chicken and pineapple on top of a bed of rice with some pineapples she said no but commence to tell me that they had a kabob plate which had chicken on skewers on a bed of rice and a small salad, never stating that it was one skewer with three very small pieces of chicken on it no bigger than a McDonald's chicken nugget along side another skewer that had onions, mushrooms and if im not mistaken bell peppers only there as well. After viewing the plate & being displeased with its contents and having things on it that I didn't eat I took the plate back to the counter the cooks were angry about me returning the food untouched and commence to reluctantly put some fruit as if that was the only complaint o had about the plate not being to my liking. After seeing their attitude and being called out of my name i decided that wanted a refund. They told me that I couldn't get a refund so i called the police because i felt it wasn't right but was told the same thing and was put out of the restaurant because i didnt agree with the officer. I felt wronged by the restaurant and the young rookie cop. I stiill didn't get a replacement of any sort of food by the restaurant either, so i lost approximately $20.00 because they dont issue refunds. in the whole situation telling her that wasnt right that they could take my money like that. We spent $63 on a very bad experience. We ordered food we have had at other PO locations and it was grossly subpar. my husband and son ordered a Diet Coke and a Coke Zero. The machine was not working and gave them flat drinks. The clerk offered them sweet tea as there was no unsweet tea. He opted to purchase two diet drinks from the cooler but the two fountain drinks we paid for were not removed from the ticket.

No garlic sauce on Zesty Grilled Chicken Pita. My husband and I both ordered the "zesty" pita for the "zest". The chicken was dry and cooked with no seasoning. I went to the counter to ask for some type of sauce. The cook said there was no garlic sauce. So knowing this he is continuing to cook and offer food that is not able to be presented as the menu states. He offered me a packet of Mayo. My zesty pita went in the trash.

We frequently eat at the Greensprings, Hoover, and Hueytown locations. This one is bad.

Service bad. Restaurant dirty. 6:00 pm on a Saturday. Drunk crowd hadn't started yet.

I am a delivery driver and when I walked in there was literally no other customers but no one greeted me at the register. I saw people around doing things and they looked at me. Then I find out that the one person sitting at a table who I thought was on break was supposed to be running the register. She slowly saunters over to me and then starts doing something else for a minute and finally asks me what I’m there for. I ask for my order and who it is. Then she says, “oh yeah, I told so and so we are out of wings.” I don’t know who she told but they didn’t bother to tell the customer or cancel the order. She told me, “you have to deal with that. It’s not my problem.” So also rude. I’ve had a really bad day and this made me feel waste my gas and time for an order that doesn’t exist. I really hope my company will stop using this restaurant considering they don’t care and it’s not their problem. I’ll never accept a Purple Onion order at this store again.
