This is some of the best food I've ever had. We nearly passed right by but don't be deterred by the size of the building or if they don't look busy. He slow cooks the meats and they all have their own flavor profiles. They were so tender like butter. The sides were a hit as well don't pass up on the rice and peas and were pleasantly surprised by a sweet flavor that we couldn't stop shoveling into our mouths. A man walked in right after us and immediately knew what he wanted (which showed consistency of customers) he ordered the ox tail and we asked him about it and he described it as a delicacy. We got 3 plates the jerk chicken with was very spicy but not just spicy hot but spicy flavorful and just fell to pieces even the skin on it was just wonderful The goat curry, which was the first thing we tried from the top of the bag with some of the fluffy buttery coco bread that you can add, and the curry had such a burst of flavors that are indescribable, sweet and seasoned and tropical flavors that we kept going back into that plate to share. We also got the ox tail that the man ordered and my boyfriend became allergic to pork a few years ago after a fever and I tried the first piece of the oxtail. I handed him a piece so fast it tasted like the best baby back pork ribs you could ever have. I was expecting a gamey flavor going in but it was savory and buttery and so tender to eat. Please go to this location we drove 45 minutes there and passed it at first but we turned around and decided right as we were passing the second time to stop and im so glad we did.. this couple will definitely be going back very soon and probably taking...

Disappointing Experience not your typical Jamaican restaurant!

I recently visited a this Southern Caribbean Jamaican restaurant and unfortunately, my overall experience fell short of expectations. While there were a couple of positives, such as the delicious and fresh plantains, the majority of the dishes left much to be desired.

One major disappointment was the oxtail dish, which seemed to be watered down and lacked the rich flavors I was hoping for. It was a letdown considering oxtail is typically a highlight in Jamaican cuisine. Additionally, some of the other menu items seemed to have been sitting for a while, giving them an old and unappealing taste. This greatly affected my enjoyment of the meal.

The cabbage, in particular, was a letdown. Its taste was unpleasant, and it didn't seem to have been prepared with care. It's always a shame when a staple side dish like cabbage falls short of expectations.

However, it's important to note that the restaurant did have one saving grace: the plantains. They were perfectly cooked, offering a burst of flavor and freshness that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was clear that some attention had been given to this particular dish, and it stood out among the others.

Overall, my experience at this Jamaican restaurant was a mixed bag. While the plantains were a highlight, the oxtail dish and other items left much to be desired. I hope the restaurant can work on improving the consistency and quality of their dishes, as there is potential for a truly enjoyable dining experience.

Don’t recommend this location or restaurant 2/10. The inside is not clean and...

I dine and take out. I was referred to this restaurant for good food and service. I used to love their food once I found it, I even told other individuals about their food being tasty and Caribbean. I ordered there multiple times. I even talked to the cook and communicated with him when I had a small issue about the size of the oxtails not to be stubborn or difficult but to understand the inventory on what to expect. He explained to me well how sometimes shopping varies. I understood and it was okay with me and I thanked him for letting me know. But I placed an order on Saturday 9.13.25 and it was awful like leftovers. I looked at the male cook at the time and he knew from my expressions that I was disappointed in my order but I do not like confrontations or making someone feel my concern is an issue. I will not return, it was good while it lasted I have paid a lot of money into supporting this business and always tipped to show my love for them doing a great job but lately it's been like since the area isn't that great they feel like they can serve or give any type of customer service. They lost a valuable supporter of any black or...

A co-worker order lunch here about 4 months ago and I enjoyed it. Flavors were balanced and everything was great. Second time I had food from here the rice and peas were both spicy. Which I didnt understand. Though not what I was expecting the cabbage had a good flavor This order we both ordered the Jerk chicken which was not as flavorful as my oyher experiences. My colleague ordered mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. She said the mac and cheese was okay nothing to brag about and the mashed potatoes were good esp with the jerk sauce. I ordered the cabbage with rice and peas again. The cabbage was not spicy and I could actually taste that sugar had been added to sweeten it. But it and the rice and peas were okay. Overall there seems to be a lack of consistency in the preparation of dishes. It was edible and satisfying, but having had Jamaican food cooked by family and friends it did not come close flavor wise this time at all.
