Starbucks — Restaurant in Blaine

Starting with the positives, this place has an amazing both exterior and interior. One is the nicest looking Starbucks' I've been to. The staff also seemed quite friendly.

Now for everything else... I'll start off by saying that I believe this all was caused by a miscommunication error. So while not entirely the store's fault, it still caused a big annoyance towards me, the customer.

I asked for a venti iced matcha latte, half sweet, with coconut milk and vsccf. This is where the barista paused and was fiddling with the screen for a while, clearly confused on what to do. That's when she informed me that in order to make the drink half sweet, she would have to put half the matcha powder in. This confused me, until she informed me that in the US their sweetener is mixed in with the matcha powder. I'm from Canada so a cane sugar syrup is used separately from the matcha powder. I usually prefer extra matcha in my drinks, so I told her it was okay and to just put it back to the regular four scoops which come in a venti.

All was good until I finally got my drink, after a while of waiting. It was far lighter green than usual. I tasted it, it was all milk. Upon looking at the label, the barista had changed the matcha powder from the regular four scoops down to one singular scoop. In a venti. When I had asked her to keep it at four scoops. I understand there was a miscommunication at the register, but one scoop? It tasted like I was drinking sweetened coconut milk. I basically paid $8USD (so like $10 CAD) for a cup of milk.

I usually try to mobile order when possible so there's no miscommunication, but as I'm from Canada, my app does not allow me to mobile order...

It’s also in a super convenient location with easy parking, making it an ideal stop for locals and travelers alike.

Used to love this location but seems they are participating in the practice of only filling your cup 70% full. It happened last week when I was there and I simply chalked it up to “random chance” Fast Forward to todsy and I order a vente London Fog with soy $6.90 + $2 tip. I pick it up and it’s “too light “. Vente supposed to be 20 ounces. I wait until I got home; which was only 2 miles away and poured it into a measuring cup confirming my suspicion. Just over 15 ounces. Starbucks , do you not think your customers won’t notice ? Why you would even try this slimy and deceptive move is beyond me. This is the stuff I expect at the Denver airport and now you guys are doing this too. For people who are reading this and not understanding the “why “, it’s simple math. You pay for 20 ounces and they give you 16 ounces. Basically they get an extra $7 profit for every 5 they sell. It’s sneaky, slimy and greasy and you just cost yourself a lifelong...
