I am super allergic to milk. To the point it will melt my skin but since my child can tolerate it now, she better get her fill while she can, i used to love to come for ice cream when I was very young. We had such a nice time at mini golf though admittedly annoyed we spent most of the time waiting for the next hole to be available. They wouldn't let us play through and the girl holding it all up refuses to get off her phone. Come on now. This was also very annoying. There was no where to sit and wait except every few holes there might be a rock to sit on. I'm handicapped and prone to passing out and this new facility was not accommodating or even appealing visually. (I looked at your cost conversion for taking out the batting cages and spending 400,000$ to remodel only the 18 hole and in my professional opinion, it looks like the old auto oasis and I'm wondering where the other 378,000$ was used. There is so much potential for that area. It used to be so nice and there used to be benches everywhere. We had a nice time but when all calculated we probably will find somewhere else to go next time. The new beach look really takes from the experience. Oh and I got the weirdest look from the staff when requesting a soft serve mix cone for my child...I guess those machines only work when the staff person gets what you're talking about instead of guessing. We asked for just a small and got two giant scoops 🤦🏽♀️that's not what we asked for and I couldn't even help her with it as that's not what I was expecting, but it was a beautiful gesture. Overall, there is so much untapped potential but you guys are doing a nice job. I'm happy to have the experience we did. Despite my allergies, it is extremely important to show support to a business that cares about their continued quality, and the community. Joe, you guys are rocking it! Proud to...
Read moreTotally lucked out having this place practically right across the street from our hotel. After this past year my new motto is "life is short, eat dessert first" so that's what we did. Hubby was quite intrigued by the names of the various items on the windows - orange fluff, black cow, Italian slushie, etc. so of course I felt obliged to inquire before making my decision. After hearing all my options I went with the slushie which is basically Italian Ice & Seltzer water - I chose strawberry and it was deliciously refreshing. The staff is super friendly plus they have a nice seating area off to the side of their large parking area & they even have a mini golf out back. We're from the Baltimore area and we have nothing like this near us (but in retrospect that's probably a blessing because if I lived nearby I'd be here all the time). We'll definitely be back to try out something different before...
Read moreIf you are traveling through Hollidaysburg/Duncansville and you’ve never been to the Meadows please take some time and stop. Miniature golf and a great small town hangout feel. After a few decades myself it’s still all it was and more. A tad bit disappointing this trip though. We ordered brownie sundaes. I believe in order to heat up the brownies they get quick nuked, if I am wrong please feel free to correct me. These brownies had an odd texture. Half the brownie was rock hard and un edible. The other half was super gooey and hot. Not really sure how that was accomplished other than microwaved from a frozen state and not rotated. The smoothies lack real fruit options. But try a black cow or the flavor of the day and play a...
