My wife, myself, and our kids tried Smoke Out BBQ for the first time today and we have to say this is BY FAR the ABSOLUTE BEST BBQ in the area, probably in the state, possibly in the country. It’s the best we’ve ever had and it’s not even close. “Fish”, the owner, was incredibly kind, generous and went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was top notch. Everything is fresh, made by him from the rubs and bbq sauces to the meats and sides. The pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, the brisket and ribs were tinder and cooked to perfection, the jerk chicken was incredible (juicy and delicious). The baked beans and collard greens were out of this world good! We literally cannot say enough about how amazing this was. Anyone saying this was less than delicious and giving less than 5 Stars is either a liar or delusional, no other way to state it. Thank you so much, Mr Fish. We will be coming back soon and often. (Oh, and I don’t leave reviews if that tells...
Read moreFirst time trying out this place. I got the Little Farm, so I could get a sampling of the meats. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat it all, but who doesn't enjoy leftover BBQ?!
Overall, the flavors of the meats were great! The sausage was extremely juicy and had a full mild flavor. The brisket, even though it didn't have a strong smoke ring, the meat was juicy and tender with a solid beef flavor. The pulled pork was also juicy and tasty. The chicken was the only letdown. It had a great flavor and solid smoke bark, but was a bit on the dry side. Finally, the Mac and cheese was ooey and gooey, a mix of what grandma used to make paired with good ole BBQ style.
The service was friendly and prompt. Although, I was disappointed not to be offered to enjoy my meal in the shade of of their picnic area. Lastly, I'd point out that even though the Open sign is on, it looks dead, like no one is there. Almost didn't go in, but I'm glad I did. I'll be back to enjoy some solid...
Read moreBeing from Texas, I have high expectations and this is really disappointing. The brisket tasted like they cooked it in an oven and not smoker. You can tell from the light smoke taste on the outside and zero flavor on the inside. And the lack of bark. Ribs and sausage were a disappointment too. Price is okay but to my knowledge places east of the Mississippi don’t know smoked meats. I’m not trying to sound mean about a place, but when I’m eating a Johnsonville brat and putting this down, it should say something. There are some folks from places that don’t smoke meat I understand their liking. Just not mine. Just a heads up to those who look for decent BBQ outside of...
