Placed a phone order for pick up for lunch at the Chicago Heights Location. I was specific with my order. I asked for turkey sausage, bowl of grits, strawberry jelly and large Arnold Palmer. There was no more than 8 to 10 people in the restaurant. Once I entered the restaurant I let the lady know I was there for pick up. She immediately says "oh I forget to place your order,but It will be 10 mins. I was on my lunch break so time was ticking. I waited for about 10 -15mins. One of the waitress did check to see if I was being helped, which I appreciated
Before I walked out the door, I asked the receptionist if she put the jelly for the toast and she said "Yes its in the bag". I received one strawberry and one grape
The food was 👍 good. Never had a bad experience with the food the few times I have been there.
The things that were wrong for today: She waited until I received my drink to tell me they have one size. She should have mention that when I was placing the order. She didn't put a straw in the bag. I asked for a bowl of grits and evidently they have one size, but she didn't mention that in the order placing as well.
Once I looked at my receipt on my text when I got home, it said "Patties", and I think it was pork, not turkey. I don't eat pork and beef, so I'm hoping I don't get sick. This is something that a person taking an order has to be paying close attention. You never know what allergies someone may have.
She should have repeated the order back to me over the phone and its just as much my fault that I didn't request it. I was trying to order and work at the same time.

Meat Lover's Skillet - Everything seemed kind of poorly thrown together. It is very evident that my skillet was cooked with others because there were bits of other foods in with mine. Considering I don't like mushrooms and have a slight allergy to tomatoes, this was worrying. My bread of choice was raisin toast. They burned both pieces but one was somewhat salvageable. The other was as hard as a rock and burned black. Even the one I tried to salvage wound up being hard and gummy.
Belgium waffle - This was fine. No real issues. Except the side order of bacon ordered was extremely chewy and tough.
Vive la French Toast - Tasted like just bread; no batter. Like it was dipped in the batter for half a second and then thrown on the griddle. Even looking at the bread you could tell the batter did not saturate past the very top layer.
The eggs were fine.
Our order was to go and we got it through DoorDash. Before you assume it was the transit, we only live about 7 minutes from this place and the food got to us within that timeframe. Even when I have picked it up in the past, we have never had any of these issues. It just seems that maybe the kitchen was really backed up and they very obviously rushed through the cooking of our meals. For having paid over $40 for these entrees, I expected way more. When my Uber driver contacted me because she got lost going two minutes across a parking lot, she did not speak english making it impossibleto resolve, even though I shared my location via maps with her...We are at one end of parking, stacks is at the other...
When my order did not arrive, stacks told me to take it up with uber. There is absolutely no way to take it up with uber, because there is no record with uber that it was ever placed. They will steal your money and not return it if your uber driver fails...
Anyway, 15 more minutes later a diver maniaclly honking at me from the road she shouldn't have been on. I had to walk out onto a busy road to get my cold food from a highly rude driver that cussed at me in Spanish. Then when I told her in Spanish that she is not professional and to shut her mouth, she lost her mind.
