Dimitri Best Food — Restaurant in Bloom Township

When I first order gyros here. It was delicious. I order delivery and the guy taking my order on the phone was nice and honest. He told since the weather was bad it would be a least a 45 minute wait. I didn't mind waiting. The wait was worth it.

There are other times, I have call in a delivery, but the person who answered was rude. So i stopped ordering delivery and just went there. The place is old and dingy like every gyro place, I guess. The food was average. I was coming there frequently, the quality was different and inconsistent. So, I stopped going.

However, the last two times I came the owner gave me a free drink as I waited. That was nice of him. I really appreciate that. I think the gyro plate is like $12. I don't really remember but I am confident it was over $11.

I am not a fan of there chicken pita. It consist of bland dry stripped chicken. it was a rip off. I felt I was eating a chicken taco. I had chicken pita before and it was grilled chicken breast. So good.

The chicken nuggets remind me of Burger King nuggets. The Fries are ok, they're small, thin and soggy. They get cold too fast.

They're shrimp basket were fine. the shrimp were small size. bigger than a baby shrimp though. i was expecting large or king size, but i guess you get what you paid for.

There polish sausage is ok. Sometimes it is big, sometimes it is a hotdog sized. They may have mixed up the order. ...

Dimitri's Best Food is appropriately named for many reasons! Not only is their food the best in town for burgers, gyros, polishes, etc., but their service is also second to none! I was back in town now that I live in Minnesota and don't have any restaurants of the sort in my current home town, so I placed a carry out order this evening. Upon excitedly getting home to eat, I discovered that the gyro platter did not contain any tzatziki sauce in the bag. I decided to call back and inform them of the error and Dimitri himself personally took down my address and promptly delivered out to my home to make up for the blunder. Mistakes happen and there were no excuses made, blame wasn't placed on any staff members, and a solution was quickly implemented. The meal was spot on as always and I wanted to take a moment to point out how fantastic of a restaurant Dimitri's is for quality of food and top notch character! I've been eating here for 15 years since my high school days and will always make a point to stop back upon visits to the Suburbs to get the Dimitri experience that doesn't compare to...

I've given this place so many chances. And last night was the last time. I placed an order for pickup through GrubHub, walked in and waited for my food. Within 5 minutes my food was ready. I should've known something was wrong. Fried chicken is not done that fast. Nor was my food piping hot. When I got home I could actually smell the rancid oil on the chicken. This place has gave me OLD FOOD, THATS BEEN REFRIED in the past. The owner actually admitted it to me one time when I complained, he said we know customers don't like waiting a long time and for me tell the staff to drop it fresh. I told him I don't care about the wait time I just don't like receiving old food. And for this to happen again. $20 worth of food inedible because this establishment doesn't care about what they feed their customers. I shouldn't HAVE to tell your staff to drop it fresh it should just be a given. They also can't follow directions I asked for cucumber sauce on the side of my gyro and I get home and it's still on there. I'm done...
