Horrible experience. Failed me twice in a row. Placed an online order today for two salads and a lemon rice soup. I also ordered 2 pitas since this place likes to charge for pita which was soggy, and unlike most other places that include it with their salads. Well, again they failed to deliver, plus the greeter/hostess left me waiting while she seated families ahead of me, although I got there first. As for the carryout. The soup was literally cold, not hot, not warm, but cold. Makes me wonder how long it was sitting in the kitchen or if their stove is broken. Also, I order two pitas and only got one. Oh, did I mention that they did not include plastic or napkins? It's no wonder the dining room was empty at 6:00pm. I paid for my meal, included a gratuity and was absolutely disappointed. I will never set foot in this place even if I was starving and malnourished.
REPLY TO OWNER'S RESPONSE: Really? You're defending your actions by blaming the pandemic of 2020? Please stop blaming the pandemic. That was four years ago. Using the pandemic could be an excuse if this were 2020. Help might be hard to find, but there are many other eating establishments that don't suffer the same issues. There is a simple rule in business. You provide the product and the service. We pay for for those products and services. It's not difficult. Also, you claim people need to be patient. Patience is lost not because of good service, as well as good food. Patience is lost because we are spending good money for bad service and lousy food. Only you can fix this, not the customer with patience. That won't work. Fix it and you might continue to stay in business. If not, the business is doomed as people have little tolerance for high priced, low quality food and service, as well as...
Read morePast experience during their Sunday brunch with the family was positive, the food good but not remarkable. Can't go wrong with an omelette made to order, and the assortment of fruit and non-oily foods a pleasant option. However, during an evening dinner with my kids, I had a rather unpleasant experience with both food and service. My kids hamburgers had a cardboard, fast-food taste, with several requested condiments not provided as ordered. My mom's salad was (according to her) good, but my meal was a joke: ordered the vegetarian (eggplant) gyro, which was stuffed with iceberg lettuce, some tomatoes and onion, and the tiniest sliver (about the size and thickness of a half-dollar coin) of an grilled eggplant. Namely, a joke. Pathetic. Fortunately, my kid's fries were good, that essentially was my meal. When I said something to the waitress, I was offered not an apology nor an attempt by management to make good. (An attitude of "sucks to be you"). I always thought this place was wildly overrated: this visit merely confirms my opinion. Sucks to be them: you've been warned, and they won't get my money anymore.
Post-edit: Not by choice, but the family went back because there was nothing else available. This time the service and food were acceptable, and thus I've increased my initial review from...
Read moreTasty Breakfast, Tasty Brunch and our dinners were delicious the last time we visited this Honey Tree Grille. Lamb Shank OMG, My Mother's Moussaka was tasty. Portions were enough that we both had our dinners boxed up. Our Server was 70% attentive which is what I once upon a time was a Head Server / trainer at an upper end restaurant 🍴. She needed to ask about our food prior to us needing it wrapped. Have a different server get us 2 separate bags for our food so that it wouldn't drip all over the place. Warning ⚠🛑 before ordering the wine 🍷 because they overly do their upcharge their wines by glass and the 🍾 bottle. A nothing special Kendall and Jackson Riseling was $18 for 2 glasses. The same bottle is between $9-$14 it's not even an imported German Wine not even a local wine. Bottle of their wines is also beyond shock value. As someone who has tasted various wines in different countries and cultures please at least make it a little less expensive you would definitely sell more end make your profits too. That's way beyond the Michigan Liquor commission has the set price. Maybe next time I'll bring my own bottle which is very much LEGITIMATELY...
