We've had such a rough time with delivery lately, people just don't read order tickets, receipts or notes. At the end of the day by the time we get the kids fed and to bed my wife and I are usually too tired. Last 3 days no joke, one delivery order never showed (Door Dash), one delivery order from Qdoba arrived Incomplete (GrubHub, but was restaurants fault), and yesterday night our grub hub driver picked up a completely wrong order from Penn Station (GrubHub driver fault ... Best part ... The receipt on the food delivered was a door dash order). What is going on. All 3 times too late to replace with a new order. Today we decided to just find a spot and stock up on food for lunch and dinner and pick it up ourselves. My wife loves bagels, so on to jersey Bagels. First time customers. Ordered in person and made sure to clarify everything. We got home and one of our two bagel sandwiches was missing. And the two sides of the potato salad that was supposed to come with them were missing as well. Argggg. I can't help but laugh at this point. So frustrating, listen to your customers, read the receipts and order tickets. When you pack the bags double or even triple check that everything is correct if you have to. Value your customer and their hard earned money and most importantly value their time. When you call and complain it's always the same response which requires the customer to drive all the way back to the restaurant. I don't really have the energy to call and complain to another restaurant, and let's face it most of them don't care, so many restaurants rely on bulk over quality. However I tried anyway. I'm the type that will only write a review if i had upstanding service for whatever it may be: restaurant, spa, etc. Sometimes if i have the occasional worse service yes in hopes that they get better. Unfortunately this is one of those worse services. Walk in and didn't get greated. Then when ordering (keep in mind I've never been here before and now will never go back) I wasn't informed of anything and I know bagel and cream cheese is obvious and that's what i got, however, my friend got a bagel and lox. Which i had no idea what that was and he said whenever he's gotten it before the lox was always cooked. But the guy offered the bagel and lox or lox pieces and my friend asked what the difference was he said bagel and lox was already mixed. The pieces were placed on top of the other one. Not telling us that the pieces made the bagel $12.99 vs $5.25 along with it not being cooked and it being a sandwich with a tiny 18oz cup of potatoe salad. So after we ordered and they started making both i was never asked if i wanted my bagel toasted or not along with everything else and then never saw any of the employees washing their hands or nothing.    Read moreI had a disappointing visit here today. Even though the food came out quickly, it took a long time before anyone acknowledged us at the counter. Only one employee was helping at first, and two more came out later who could have been assisting sooner. The tables were dirty, and I found a hair in my bagel after a few bites (photo attached). None of the staff were wearing proper hair coverings, which is a serious sanitation concern. My friend also found a hair in her sandwich on a previous visit, so this seems to be a recurring issue.
I really tried to let it go because I understand being understaffed is tough, but food safety and basic customer service shouldn’t be optional. Between the slow acknowledgment, unsanitary food, and lack of professionalism, I can’t recommend this location until...
