Ordered via online on 8/12. After waiting 90 minutes (30 minutes after the ETA per the website), I called to get an update on my order. The employee said they fell behind and the driver was on the way. Which was a complete lie because 10 minutes later I received a text saying DoorDash was on it's way to the store to pick up my food... After the 2 hour mark, I called to cancel my order and receive a refund. The same employee as before said she couldn't give me a refund because I ordered online. They could give me a credit for a future order. At this time, I had not receive my order, it has been 2+ hours and their solution was to keep my money and offer a future credit. I then asked for corporate's number so I could call them to receive a refund for the order i didn't receive. She put me on hold for 10 minutes then got back on and said her manager is in a meeting and she's waiting for him to provide the corporate number. How does an employee not have access to their own company's information? Why didn't the employee pull the manager aside to get the number? Horrible customer service.
Also, I filled out the contact us on Papa Romano's website - twice, and still no response...

Especially during a pandemic, I totally understand the need for protecting your employees, however weāve attempted to place an order just to find out they closed in the middle of the day for no reason and we didnāt know until we attempted to call and no one answered. Multiple times they did not get our order that we placed through the website and on the app. One time we found out it was because theyāre printer just ran out of paper and they fought to say that it was our fault and we needed to place it again, even though we prepaid and received an order confirmation. Then laughed it off when they realized it was a printer issue. The staff has been rude and unfriendly. And now they deliver through DoorDash, which is fine, but our orders have randomly gotten cancelled with no explanation. We genuinely enjoy papa Romanoās and thatās why weāve continued to overlook these issues, but this is the last time we will willingly...

After we never received a delivery, I called and they stated they never saw my order come thru. They said there was nothing they could do and hung up. I drove to the location to attempt to show them my email confirmation and bank account that shows money came out. The workers would not even look at the evidence, said "this happens all the time and "take it to corporate or dispute it with your bank." I was highly frustrated as they never offered an alternative solution and dismissed my concern of being charged and not getting my ordered food.
