I just started working in the area and stopped by on my break. The young gentleman at the counter was incredibly kind and rang me up for a smoothie, a sandwich, and a soup. I spent over $30 and left a tip. Within minutes, the owner who was previously rudely on his personal phone speaking a different language while the gentleman was ringing me, decided to, again, rudely, inform me that it was "impossible" to make my smoothie with the beet substitution I asked for, as it is "only allowed in juices". I was understanding, though instead of listening to anything I might want instead, he kept talking over me, and make me feel incredible uncomfortable for the request. Furthermore, he proceeded to scold the gentleman in front of me, for ringing me up with the request. I don't think it is impossible to make a smoothie with beet juice in it, but I could have been kindly explained that the texture might be off if I wanted to add that. Instead, I was berated and cut off consistently when I tried to "ammend" my order for him. We went back and forth a few times on whay would be an acceptable substitution. I feel incredibly upset by the rude interaction. There's a polite way to explain the strange rules of your business, and that wasn't it. Lost a customer before you made one, regardless of the quality of food. Customer service is everything, and if the owner can't work on those skills, unfortunately, I'm not sure this place will see many return customers or loyal patrons. Shame, because I was having a lovely interaction before the owner stepped in. Should let his employees do the work...

Sooooo... after going here for nearly 3 years clocking about 2 visits per week, this was my last visit. I am so disappointed at the recent cheat that I can no longer spend my money here.
So, it's Sunday and I went for my usual veggie quinoa bowl for lunch. Didn't call it in this time - walked over. As I watched the staff person make my lunch, I noticed that she was using a lot less ingredients. One scoop of quinoa? It's normally two, two and a half. I made a remark about it, but she said that's the standard. Okay, I thought. Then she took out a very tiny bowl that was going to serve as holding my lunch.
I commented on that as well. That's the wrong size bowl, I said. She stated that's the bowl they always use. I told her I've been coming there for almost 3 years. I recycle the bowls; I have them at home - that's definitely too small. The owner chimed in and states it's the same size used for his 5 years there. I laughed it off, knowing that I was being duped.
I'm now eating my lunch, fighting to get the adult - sized fork into my kiddie-sized bowl. Wow... there's no way I will ever pay this much money for this little food. And to be lied to about it? No thanks, guys. You're nice, but I value honesty and my hard - earned money too much. Thx for the memories. Love the healthy food choices. Service is always friendly, but it does take a while to get your order. Prices are a tad high, but everything on the menu...
Read moreFor the first time in the few years that I’ve been going to this place, I have to say I’m very disappointed today. We had a very scary situation occur about 25-30 minutes ago. My daughter and her friend, both have a peanut allergy. They bought smoothies and both had an immediate allergic reaction. Neither of them got smoothies that contain any peanuts which leads me to believe they are not cleaning their blenders or utensils properly between customers. They are ok so far as both immediately took Benadryl but this could have ended very very badly for either of them. Please, please make sure to clean everything properly between patrons! I have also called the establishment...
