Food is okay, just maybe don’t get takeout.
A few nights ago I ordered from Pizzanada on Uber Eats. It was a small order that came to about 84$. After waiting nearly 2 hours for food, I got the order and 2 out of the 3 entrees were wrong. Ordered chicken Alfredo which arrived with no chicken. I also ordered the orecchiette which is listed on the Uber eats menu as having olive oil, garlic, broccoli rabe, and chicken. The only thing right was the pasta shape. I received orecchiette in red sauce with sliced pork sausage and regular broccoli. I immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager on duty, Gina. At first it seemed like she was unfamiliar with the menu because she was asking me if I wanted red or white sauce for the orecchiette- remember it was listed on Uber Eats as coming with oil. She took down what I wanted, explained that they didn’t have broccoli rabe and had me order something small from the menu (apple pie empanada) and she would replace the order and refund me in cash for whatever I paid for the empanada. About 40 minutes later the second order arrived. I wish I could say it was right, but it wasn’t. I was hopeful because it seemed like she wanted to make things right. She included the apple pie empanada and the refund in the order. The chicken Alfredo was fine and had chicken this time, but the orecchiette still had no chicken. I called back and sat on hold for a bit before talking to the (presumable) host of the restaurant. He tried to tell me the orecchiette didn’t come with chicken (even though we had just been through this an hour ago) then eventually passed me off to the manager again. She essentially apologized and told me they wouldn’t be able to remake it because it was 20 minutes to closing and the kitchen was cleaned for the night. She offered to comp my meal next time I order.
At the end of the day, the pasta I did eat (the one with oil and garlic) was pretty good but I just wish it had chicken like I was hoping for. The portions were big and I ate off of the one bowl for several meals. The apple pie empanada was good and the beef and cheese one was good too once I warmed it up. The calamari was the only disappointment though. It was overcooked, under seasoned, and the crispy batter fell off. As I mentioned before, it seemed like the manager had a genuine interest in fixing it but the cook/chef on duty that night was just fine out of wack. I’d eat here again in person but I definitely won’t make the trip across town to get another incorrect order. If you’re going to order takeout maybe check it before you leave or call and ask the restarting to double check it before the courier gets it. Might save you some time.

Read moreI’ve ordered from here about a dozen times, each and every time, a part of our order was messed up. We typically overlooked it because they were at least willing to own up to the mistake and redo it for us. This last time, however, will definitely be the last time we ever order from here. We sat on the phone trying to place an order for over 20 minutes because the person who was taking the order was completely confused and kept messing up our request. Eventually, after 6 trips back and forth between this kid and the chef, he finally got our order (which, by the way, was just two pizzas) correct, or so we thought. My dad showed up and once again, to no surprise, the pizza was incorrect. My dad went back in and the girl there basically gaslit him into thinking that the pizza was correct, so he wound up bringing it home. We all noticed it was not what we asked for, so my mom called to see what could be done, and this same girl sat there on the phone refusing to own up to the mistake, and continued to make up lies about how they could not make the pizza the way we wanted (even though we ordered this same pizza 7 times previously). Our simple request was to omit the chunks of cheese and use shredded instead. Somehow, that would cost $5 extra, even though we’re already paying $28 for a pizza in the first place, which is outrageous. My mom suffers from dysphagia, so switching up the type of cheese isn’t just some “aesthetic choice”, it’s actually necessary for her to enjoy eating pizza. So, the “$5 off” is completely absurd since we just spent $28 on a pizza that my mom can’t even eat now. I’ve never been so disgusted with customer service before in my life. Unwilling to own up to their own mistake, or take any accountability for the frequent mistakes that are made on...
Read moreWow. During my visit, I experience good customer service; an employee answers questions I have about my wonderfully filling meal particularly of the Canola Oil of the Mozarella Sticks (due to their texture and making me feel so full—though food through a frying process is not for my body, l decide to try them observing how I feel with each bite [slow portion for me] because I like Mozarella Sticks a lot [so glad to know a spot with Vegan Mozarella Sticks]!). I'm really glad about finding such a diverse Vegan menu with SO MANY Vegan APPETIZERS. Good appetizers really boost a meal for me. I literally eat the meal for dinner and breakfast the following day (so good and filling). The Vegan Garlic Bread Knots are tasty, and I feel like contribute to me feeling so full early on in the meal (I eat them first). The Vegan Mozarella Sticks are good though unlike the Vegan Garlic Bread Knots taste better to me with the Marinara sauce (which is lightly sweet though mostly savory). The highlight of the meal for me is the Vegan Jamaican Beef Patty because since arriving in New Jersey I ask around for Vegan Jamaican Patties then come to find Pizzanada serves them! The Jamaican Beef Patties come with a salad. The seasoning of the soft crust (soft all the way to the edges) tastes so good, even better on the salad as a dry seasoning (the salad alone is decent). The Jamaican Beef Patties are so filling, and I enjoy them for breakfast (no fridge period, just on the kitchen table overnight, the salad sitting in the pan next to the Jamaican Beef Patties tastes even better with the lengthier joint sitting). The establishment accepts all...
