Cadillac Jack's — Restaurant in Bloomington

We absolutely love hitting Cadillac Jacks for lunch on the weekends and have made quite a habit of it over the past few years! Top notch food at very reasonable prices and a nice clean spot with a great atmosphere! We recently had an experience where things just didn't go great, unlike we were used to. The service just wasn't there at all and we were very disappointed with our visit. It really stood out to me because it wasn't the incredible service we were used to! I reached out to their social media account and let them know about our lunch and how it didn't match up at to what we were used to. I'm no Karen, and this isn't anything I would normally do, but we left wondering if we would be coming back , and I didn't want to say goodbye to a local favorite. So glad that we reached out. The owner contacted me directly and offered to make things right. We went in this afternoon (a couple of weeks later) and got the opportunity to speak with the server that had taken care of us previously. It was so very clear that was just an off day, and she was overwhelmed due to being short-handed. She was remarkably kind and apologetic. We ended up having great conversation for several minutes and even got some history of the location and the local owners. They even picked up the tab for our lunch today as a kind gesture. Cadillac Jack's - Well, if your a motorcyclist riding, that travels the I-39 from Rockford / Chicago to Bloomington / Norm area (or anyone) traveling thru... This is a great place to visit. Live entertainment & great food, mixture of people. Located right across the street from Bentleys car dealership. Upon walking in, I was greeted by staff. I was quite impressed... Two full service bars, restaurant seating atmosphere, awesome menu selection. That's upon entry! Wait, it gets better... Hook a left turn from the bar and threw the door... Sheltered outside seating with a nice cool window view and breeze, along with its own jukebox and pool table. Still not enough? Ok... How about an outside beer garden with seating then? So, many options and choices. A great lay out! I was very impressed and shocked. You'll just have to see it for yourself. Its geared for all. Motorcycle parking out front. Handicap parking. Nice size parking lot. A great restaurant/bar with a biker type atmosphere. A great place for a rest break, grab a bite to eat, a drink, and relax before saddling up and riding again. I usually come to Cadillac Jacks with friends and kids and have had no issues up until today. I went in with my friend and her kids and had issues from the start. There were no clean tables open, a server came up and offered to clean off a table. Took her another 10 mins to come take our drink order at which time we put in food, as well. It took about 30 minutes until we started asking for our food, it was 2 sloppy joes and a couple fried items, should’ve taken 10 minutes. A different server came up and acted surprised that our food hadn’t come out, as if it wasn’t entered into their system. A few moments later a manager came over, didn’t apologize, and when I told her I could’ve had my food already somewhere else for cheaper she acted like she wanted to argue with me. Terrible customer service. Then, to top it off.. our checks came out. She hadn’t added the drinks which I thought was done on purpose since our food took almost an hour to come out, then came back with “updated” tickets, with the drinks on them. Wild, I couldn’t believe it. I will never return to this establishment and I plan on telling everyone I know about...
