I realize Mother's Day is a very busy day, but yesterday was awful. There was a new girl at the register trying so hard to do her best (bless her heart!) but I could tell a manager was on the other compri--a dark haired man about 30ish who seemed to be a manager--more intent on his own drink and the "don't make" part (I figured it out it was for him by watching) and didn't seem to want to be bothered that the front was coming apart. After over 5 minutes and watching it just completely break down and our two drinks sitting melting on the counter as they try to give the lady behind us her drinks I stepped up and asked if we could have ours sitting there. One without whip and another cooler. The cooler with whip was pretty much melted on top. I hated to be rude, but the were like 5 people behind running around like they had no idea where they were at. As a frequent customer, I could have gone back and helped, but...... Well if the manager decides things are going ok and can just leave (I was looking out at how the area around Penn has changed as he left) then I guess I don't feel so bad. I've done 14 hour days, I get it, but he knew it was happening and he left. Way to lead,...
Read moreI usually only go to Caribou when I really crave it. But I’m giving this location 2 star not because of the coffee but because of its customer service! I asked for a hot coffee with vanilla. I get my coffee and I don’t taste ANY vanilla. I then ask the lady nicely “Can i please have more vanilla?” She takes it and gives it back! Btw this was the drive thru. I drive away and guess what there’s no vanilla. But I didn’t have time to go back and sit in line. So, I go run my errand come back and ask if I can exchange, I play it safe and ask for a turtle mocha and I offer to pay the difference. I get charged 2.48 more on top of the 3.00 dollars and some change I paid earlier. I tell the lady there’s no vanilla. I pay she gives me the coffee and I leave. As I’m driving I realize that I was over charged. Any other customer would have simply asked for a replacement, but I like to be fair and paid for my replacement. I had a toddler and a not so happy infant in the back! This mama just wanted a hot coffee with vanilla so that I can go about my day. But no I had I had to drive around and get over charged for a simply order. Thank you lady at the drive...
Read moreI love Caribou, but had a disappointing experience at this location. I frequent this Caribou often to work on coursework for my MBA program with fellow classmates. Each time we go to we make sure to purchase drinks since we spend a considerable amount of time studying there. In this particular instance we need to get started and finished with our work quickly, so we did not buy drinks right away, but intended to purchase them on our way out. The manager asked came over and asked if we'd like to buy drinks and we said we would later, as we needed to get down to work. The manager continually paced back and forth by us and made it known to us that he was unhappy that we hadn't ordered drinks. This made the environment at Caribou very unpleasant. He then asked us to leave because we had past Caribou's 30min limit for guests who do not make any purchases. I understand the rule and why he may have been frustrated, but the manager was very rude about it. I choose not purchase a drink as previously planned. In the future I will choose a coffee shop that provides a more inviting and...
