Eating here was my first time trying traditional Indian Cuisine and I was quite pleased! I had recently heard that certain traditional Indian foods offer a variety of health benefits so I wanted to give some of them a try. I had their Dal Soup which is a lentil based, minced vegetable soup with a happy variety of spices; the Garlic Naan, which is a popular type of baked unleavened bread; and their Mango Lassi drink, which is a super yummy mixed yoghurt drink similar to a smoothie. All together the staff was friendly, the service was quick and the food was plentiful at a decent price. The menu was also huge, with lots of different dishes to try! I would definitely come back again. The only thing that could be a downfall for the restaurant when it gets busy is the amount of seating available. There were probably less than 10 table spots of various sizes. I was also kind of not a fan of the use of bottled water for basic drinks. It adds to waste and I think it was strange to see in a sit down restaurant. Having glassed tap or iced water would be a pleasant add on in my eyes.

I love Hyderabad so much, and my favorite is the vegetable saag. The last time I ordered pick up, there was a piece of beef in my curry. I don’t eat any animal products, and it was very disgusting to be eating my usual order and discovering a piece of beef in my mouth. Not sure how soon I’ll be back, as it was very unappetizing, and I had to throw away the rest of it. I’m now concerned that although the dish is marked vegan, that it’s not, and that I’ve been consuming animal product unknowingly all the other times I’ve eaten there. It’s always a fear of mine that a restaurant will give me non-vegan food that they claim is vegan, and not finding out until after eating it. I really love the food at Hyderabad, but am not motivated to go back any time soon after this experience with my take out order.

Update 5/4: Hell yeah, I ate Haleem in Minneapolis, that was not microwaved. It was a surprise when I was told about the Ramadan special during my pickup. For someone who eat Haleem on every Chicago trip, this was a feast. Perfectly made and very close to the traditional flavor that I am used to. At $10.95 I would say it’s a give away during the festival month. ———- Glad to see a good Indian restaurant come up around here, after a few good ones out of business and rookies popping up. Love the authenticity of the food and friendly service. Few things I loved in my recent visits apart from Biryani will surely be Apollo Fish, Goat fry and chilli chicken. Would definitely recommend stopping by and I learnt this just today that they are open until midnight on weekends.

Amazing experience! The service and the food both far surpassed my expectations.

Our water glasses were never more than half empty, frequent check-ins by the start without being overwhelming, very attentive whenever we did have something to ask for, the pace of the food being served was perfect. Everybody was very friendly and courteous. Meal suggestions and explanations were great. Spice levels are adjusted from Minnesota mild to very hot. We like to share food between the family so we could order mild and get some hot sauce on the side.

The food... Where to begin? We had the family with so we tried a number of familiar menu items, everything was spectacular. Some Indian friends have mentioned that the city of Hyderabad is well known for heavily seasoned food, the naming inspiration did not fall short. The food was extremely rich with flavor but not quite overwhelming. Even normal items like butter chicken were taken to a new depth of flavor. A million times better than neighboring Tandor, and personally I rate then even better than Persei's in Eagan and India Spice House in Eden Prairie, both of which I enjoy greatly as well. The only thing I would warn people about would be the Salty Lhassi - my daughter who ordered it loved it but the rest of the family including myself found it too salty. Personally I couldn't taste anything past the salt, but again I wasn't the one who ordered it. If you like super salty or a pallette cleanser then you might like it. I had a mango one and that was sweet and creamy, again with some extra seasonings thrown in which made it better than other places.

We went for supper on the weekend. The atmosphere was very pleasant. They had some kind of trance music playing that was pretty cool and kept at a level you could still have a conversion over.

They offer both craft American beers and a few Indian brands as well, in addition to a decent wine selection. In addition to normal soft drinks they also had Thumbs Up which is like a Coke but with ginger or something that was even better.

Naan is not included with most dishes but white rice comes with many items, so you might consider getting the naan on the side or explore into some of the other similar options.

Although my youngest did not eat here due to many different common food allergies, they were very considerate of that and careful of plate placement, which was very appreciated. Normally we don't risk anything with Indian restaurants with her but I might actually ask more about allergy policies next time we go to see how they handle preventing cross contamination and try to see if there is actually anything she might be able to eat. We don't order for her from many restaurants of any kind, so this speaks to the level of cleanliness and professionalism and care exhibited here that I would even consider asking.

I've heard from co-workers that the lunch buffet is also quite good. I haven't done that yet but am looking forward to it! After sampling a couple appetizers and half a dozen dishes I can't wait to try everything...

Please read the bad reviews first before checking the fake friends reviews that are 5 star. This place is really bad. Dirty and not organized. Don't be fooled by the website and the pictures that are on there. Holiday Buffet menu is what i was told that has probably the least items but the price is a lot. I am not sure why and how these restaurants exist. I be surprised if this will last a year. Its a disgrace to Fine Indian food. If you want to try a good reasonable restaurant, try Bukhara in Wyzata. I am from Eden prairie and have been wanting to try one decent indian restaurant that i can recommend to my friends. Please dont take your American co-workers or friends here. Most people who eat here are indian dudes who work right across at Best buy. There is more to write of my experience. Hyderabad DUM biryani is filled with bones and rice. Disgrace for a great Nizam cuisine. Eat at home and save your money. I should have taken some pictures to show how dirty this place is. Not recommended even for prisoners. Response: 01/09/2018 - I am responding to the owners who posted to my comment. I have eaten there and i can provide you the receipt. Please clean your tables and make sure you have a server who knows what he is doing. Also make sure you know how to cook Hyderabadi Dhum biryani. I will visit again and this time i will take a video and pictures to prove how bad your restaurant is. I have not tried your dinner menu. But the Lunch buffet is the worst. Make sure you provide more items for the price you are charging. Not those fillers like lettuce, onions, lemon or your stinky chutney that is mixed with the desert or the mango desert is mixed with chutney sitting next to it. Gross. Please try other restaurant and see how they provide service. You get fresh Naan to your table, not the dry kind you have at your restaurant. I drove from Eden prairie thinking all these good...

Most unfit restaurant to be quoting ‘Hyderabad’ as a symbol of ethnic authenticity. We were there for a weekend buffet recently. The ambience is ok…and they have the dog-eared and tattered pics of the Nizam emperors on walls. If you can’t justify to put them then better not put them on the wall altogether. The food was hopeless, being a Hyderabadi myself, I was expecting the food be somewhat close to the native cuisine but here are reasons why the food is hopeless:

1.The food was put in the heating dishes at the buffet stations but there never was any heating element to heat them. The food was hopelessly cold.

2.The waiters and staff never re-filled the main dishes. Most of the times unavailable to refill the water. I had to get the water pitcher myself to re-fill the water.

3.The quality of the meats was average, infact not fresh at all.

4.There were Non-Veg options: chicken 65, naan, chicken curry, and chicken tikka masala and goat biryani. Veg-palak dal, stale/cold samosa chat, aloo gobi veg biryani all very cold, tasteless, unappetizing and totally unpalatable. No interest towards the taste aspect of the dishes.

5.The goat biryani didn’t have the main ingredient….goat.

6.Spice level was less than a # 1 of an average Chinese restaurant. Never will go back to this restaurant and be advised not to unless can put with/ ready for some hopeless food...
