McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Bloomington

Although the food was good. It was not a pleasant experience. We arrived at 8:37 pm. The door said they were open until 9:30, but AFTER placing my order and in the process of paying we were informed they were closing in 20 minutes. The guy that took our order did not apologize just gave me an, "OH WELL, STINKS FOR YOU", look. We took our seats, and had to ensure the smell of something they were cleaning with. It smelled like a wet barn (hay). When getting a box to take play off our food home, I told the manager about it. Oh, I'm sorry, was what I got. Although he did acknowledge we should have been told before hand. PEOPLE, AT LEAST PUT A TEMPORARY SIGN ON THE DOOR UNTIL IT CAN BE CHANGED. I would have went somewhere that didn't feel lime I was shoving the food down. NOT MY MOST PLEASANT...

I dont know what was up with the service today, but I had to repeat my order at least 4 times to the guy taking my order. I asked for a justaspud with veggie chili and a black angus spud and the guy puts in veggie spud and gets the other spud correct. The guy didn't repeat back, so I assumed he put the order in. I check my receipt and I told him again that I wanted the spud with veggie chili, then he told the people making it that I wanted it with chili. Again, I said veggie chili.

The order then comes out and the other guy brings it out, then I see that it has regular chili on it. He then says that it is veggie chili. It was obvious that it was not veggie, it was the regular kind.

He brings it back and I can all hear the employees bickering about my order. I usually have a great experience at this...

My wife ordered food and it was incorrectly made by night shift. We called spoke to a manager first thing the next day. Manager said he needed to wait for his GM to make a decision. The GENERAL MANAGER blew us off the entire day, and we called 4 times. She was very rude and short with my wife. We spent 30 bucks at this place, and she wanted to send a gift card for 10 bucks. We declined and told her we had pictures of our food and how horribly put together it was, and the GM insisted on see the pictures of the food. We emailed it to her and she saw the food.
