The place is pretty dated and some things were run down (the bottom of the door to the bathroom was worn, paint on the walls worn in places, and the finish of the bath/shower was peeling), but the room did appear to be totally clean and the bed was very comfortable. I checked for pests and didn't find signs of anything. The room was equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, and safe. The hall smelled smoky or maybe just musty, but the room had no scent. It was pretty quiet while I was there overnight. Not a lot of breakfast offerings, just cereal and a few pale-looking pastries, but it was very nice to have the waffle iron. The two people at the reception desk when I checked in and out were very friendly. You can also check out by just leaving your keys in the room and texting them without going to the desk. Convenient location with groceries, CVS, and several restaurants within walking distance. Four stars because the value for the money was really good, and the issues were mostly aesthetic and not functional or security-related.

I wish I could give zero stars. The pictures of the room I reserved in no way matched the room we were given (as you can see from the pictures). We arrived exhausted from our road trip and didn't have the energy to look for a different hotel. The smell in the room was terrible, the beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and there were people making noise all night coming in and out of the hotel. I didn't sleep. I have submitted a complaint to the company and asked for my money back--we'll see if they do anything. But this place is not worth staying at.

Bedding at Travelodge in Bloomington, IN. I'm almost positive that's mold on the pillow/pillow cases as well as several large burn holes in the blanket like the one in the picture here. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Went here 3 days ago with my family which is my husband, my 9 year old son, and my 2 year old daughter and me. We got an upstairs room with a balcony so me and my husband could smoke because the front desk guy said we could smoke on the balcony as long as we take a can outside with us which we did. We left the next day after we got a knock on the door at 10:30 from a guy telling us we needed to be out by 11 which okay, weird but whatever, never has this ever happened to us anywhere we stayed before. As I was checking my balance that morning I notice that this Travelodge had taken out another 150 out of my account. So I called and they were so rude telling me that we smoked in the room when why the heck would we when we had a balcony and permission from the desk clerk to smoke on it. Please make it make sense! So I called someone over them to try to figure it out because the travelodge was now telling me that the manager would be in the next morning when I could hear the guy in the background was the guy was originally at our room door that 10:30 in the morning being very loud and rude. Still no call. No one will talk to me or help me get through to them that we didn’t smoke in the room! My 9 year old is even being like what? You guys didn’t smoke in the room. Obviously! So not only did they not give me back the room fee that we were supposed to be given back when we left they now have another 150 that we literally didn’t have. I am now in the negative for absolutely no reason! They are absolutely horrible! Do not go here! I know they want me to forget about it but I can’t when I know that I am NOT in...

I can’t post pictures here but I as able to in Google Maps-please find that post to see the pictures. If you are staying with young children, this hotel is not only dirty but not safe or up to code!

I would give this negative stars if I could. This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. Exposed and loose wires hanging from the walls in multiple places, dirty/sticky carpet, door had been kicked in at some point and not repaired properly (or at all), no cover on outlet by the sink in bathroom, cracked window, subpar wall repairs, we’re almost refused new towels because we had our ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign out, smelled like smoke and mildew (was non-smoking room), ironing board was broken (this was the least of our worries but worth mentioning).

We got in late and really had no other option but the stay the night (sleeping in our car would have been an upgrade in retrospect). We were booked for two nights and only stayed the one. We did not receive a refund for the night we did not stay because we booked through Expedia, we didn’t care because we had to get out of there.

The ONLY positive was that the location is good. If you have ANY other choice, stay there. I felt disgusting until I was able to get somewhere and take a shower. If our younger kids had been with us we would not have stayed-it would have been dangerous for them!

I never leave reviews but want to save someone else from the sleepless night I had. Please book...

If I could give it a 0, I would. I booked the room through a website my company uses for travel discounts. We were only staying overnight, and the price seemed right. I paid on-line. When I check in, I was told they needed to run my card to place a $100 hold. This seemed odd to me since they already took my money for the hotel room several days before. I was told if I did not, they would have to cancel my reservation and I would be charged up to $50 (I only paid $79 for the room).

The hold did not drop off, instead, they charged my account for the extra $100. I called to get this resolved and the desk clerk hung up on me. I called back and was told that the person who handles it is out of town and no one else can refund the money. This is unacceptable, they stole my money. I contacted my bank, and they are currently running a fraud investigation as that money should have been released shortly after checkout.

The room was not clean in a satisfactory way. There was a used toothbrush beside the bed when we checked in. The room had a heavy mildew/water damage smell. The bathtub had some major dirt rings.

The desk clerk was selling cheesy, poorly made leather goods at the front desk as a side hustle.

The only decent thing about the stay was...
