Tony's Diner — Restaurant in Bloomington

We have been here 10+ times and the place is going downhill fast with customer service and food quality. Absolutely terrible experience two weeks in a row for lunch. Coworker ordered chicken it was spoiled gave him bad chicken. I ordered fried jumbo shrimp asked for extra lemon gal that took order read everything back when I got it no lemon no cocktail sauce. Called the restaurant and got Tony, the owner and he says he will replace the chicken can you come back? Well we are so far from there and only 30 minute lunch hour so no. He says he will give us a replacement order and double the lemons and cocktail sauce on the next order. How does that work in eating the shrimp now and have none with lunch how I like my shrimp. How does that make up for it?

So we call the next week to order the replacement meals. Went to pick it up and they make my coworker pay for the shrimp meal that was supposed to be replaced and did not even give us double lemons as promised it was the small slices. On top of that he gets back to work and we find out they shorted us my salad and his mashed potatoes and gravy. We call again we express our displeasure. The gal who answered, I told her we do not like to complain but this is the 2nd week in a row. I explained I do these google reviews and did not want to have to write this bad review so she takes my number and says she will talk to Tony. She understands my frustrations and agrees with me. So I wait yet today for a call back from 6 days ago and no return call. I do not recommend the place the customer service is terrible. The food sometimes is good but not all the time. Do not order the prime rib it's not what you think it is a steamed piece of meat not slow roasted...

So i used to have this listed as a 5 star review but after the service we had been recieving lately and then after what happened today is unbelievable we been using this resturaunt for prob 3 years 2-4 times a week we noticed about a year ago the manger lady with the red hair seemed not to like us for some reason she got us the past couple times well this time we invited some friends 4 people from out of town to meet up and eat with us but my wife and i would pay for our own bill on a seprate bill they decided to carge us and the others gratuity of 18% then when we asked about it they quickly was rude to us and said u have to pay it and we dont have to come back to that establishment again if we dont like it then we decided to pay and they then complained that we wasnt gonna give a tip i mean for real u think u deserve a tip after being rude to us most of the time being there and then being rude after we asked about the 18% upcharge no mam u get 0 more dollars from us after that one of the guys from inside came out cussing us out screamed at us for 5 minutes calling us names and tried to fight my friend worst experience ever at a resturaunt we have ever delt with what a shame tonys diner u can do better then this smh also note that last time we came we felt u were rude to us ( lady with red hair ) and we questioned even coming back but we gave it 1 more shot we shoulda trusted our gut on that...

My husband and I enjoy trying new places for breakfast no real planning goes into it we just look up places and menu and decide to go. We decided upon this diner this morning. The server was quick,friendly and very attentive especially when it came to our drink which believe it or not can be a big thing when eating you want to be able to have something in between bites. I think upon arriving at a little before 8 there was probably about 6 ppl in the diner at the time as to when we were leaving a little before 9 you could def tell it was starting to pick up and get a little busier. I think food took about 10 mins maybe if that to get between placing our order, everything was fresh and hot and tasted pretty good. I think between me and my husband we paid about 26.00 for a serving that was filling no leftovers that we wanted to take with us (not a whole lot left to take) but again very filling. The selection of breakfast was about 2 pages worth of choices in their menu everything from pancakes,omelettes, skillets, French toast and waffles along with eggs,ham,bacon and toast as some additonal choices. We were able to find their full menu with no problems online which allowed us to get an idea of what we wanted ahead of time.
