Zeke's Place — Restaurant in Bloomington

I agree with bens review.... Dang this place could be so amazing honestly I was surprised food was good better then expected the only thing bad was I feel they need a new waitress and I feel so bad for saying this but we had sport leagues across the street and she was not happy about the extra costumer's idk why cause that was way more tips for her. She is older and maybe wouldn't be able to keep up it seems like and the guy was great he seem excited to have more customers. We had 5 separate families and she wanted us to just throw it all together and it's like no in these times who can afford a 500.00 tab so please lady be kind and let people pay for only Thier families thanks and don't be so rude if you were more happy I think much more people would come to this place. My husband and I have tried Zeke’s 3-4 times in the past and have been disappointed every time. We continued to go back, giving it another shot, in hopes that the last time was a fluke. We tried it again last night and we were pleasantly surprised! We sat at the bar for the first time. Pete(er?) was our bartender and he was so wonderful and very happy to help us! He told us they remodeled over Covid and it looks amazing! We ordered the California cheeseburger with bacon and fries and the Zeke’s chicken sandwich with onion rings. My husband had a beer and I had a glass of wine. All of which were super tasty! I’m not sure if they’ve made improvements, if we’ve just ordered the wrong items in the past, if the remodel helped with the atmosphere, or if we should have been sitting at the bar this entire time, but we are so happy to know we have neighborhood bar and grill around the corner from us that we can now...

I did takeout from here for the first time in my 8 years living in Bloomington. I was expecting average bar food, but was so pleasantly surprised at how good everything was! I had a cheeseburger (best I've had in ages) and shared some fries (also not your average french fry--they were so crispy and yummy!).

I can't believe I've been sitting on this place. The inside was cozy and clean from what I saw picking up my food. I'm honestly surprised it wasn't busier because of how good it was (around 4pm on a Saturday). Definitely my new go-to for when I want a burger and fries. :)
