THE Pizza Place (North Blue Springs) — Restaurant in Blue Springs

Wonderful experience all around! I called for my pickup order directly after work on my way to pick up my child from daycare at about 4:40pm. They said my order would be ready about 5:05-5:10. We walked into a super cool atmosphere of nostalgic posters and pictures of bands, and movies from different decades! We walked in about 5:06 and immediately there was a lovely greeting of hello and welcome from the kitchen. They anticipated my order by asking if my name was “…,” then said I am cutting it right now and they put it fresh in the box. Immediately a worker came and took my payment, handed me the receipt and then checked the pizzas to make sure they were correct. Since I was holding my 2 year old child, they also offered and helped me out to my car with my order! So very helpful! Once home we ate a half cheese, half pepperoni. And we also ordered a signature Jalapeño Popper pizza which was so yummy! Highly recommend this location, pizza and appreciated the wonderful customer service! This will be our regular weekly Friday night...

We ordered takeout on Friday from the North Blue Springs location. We wanted to support a locally owned business and read the other reviews that this pizza was the best. However, our experience was not great. We order the “ultimate pepperoni pizza” and based on the photos, it looked like it was loaded with pepperoni- what we received was not that. The pepperoni was sparse and the pizza was undercooked - just very doughy. We also order cheese sticks and wings, which were undercooked, and a dessert pizza. The dessert pizza was listed as having a streusel crumble topping and drizzled with cinnamon sugar and icing. Again, the is not what we received. We got a thin (almost cracker like) crust with cinnamon sprinkled on top. That’s it. I think first impressions are everything and so we probably won’t return. But now we know…....

Follow up to my review: We received a call the following morning from the owner wanting to make things right. We went back in tonight, and it was a night and day difference. Pizza was fantastic and toppings were plentiful. We will definitely be back, thank you Pizza Place for making things right, this time it was very good.

Honestly we were pretty disappointed with our visit. We saw the great reviews this place had, and they fell very short. Double Pepperoni Pizza did not have a lot of Pepperoni or Extra Cheese, for $23 it was very underwhelming, see picture. We also ordered a Sweet and Spicy Pizza, the pizza was good but they didn't put the hot honey on it, so it was only spicy. They were very friendly on the phone, but the food for the money...
