waiter disappeared needed a refill. had to ask someone to get me dr pepper from front check in. came to taco tuesday. i asked how big ceviche i just wanted to try it to see how taste he asked if i wanted shell tostado said no just a small side order to taste if rhey ceviche was any good. he brings me a large bag with ceviche chips salsa and flat hard shells this too much for side order 13.98 and that’s way expensive for side order of ceviche. i will taste it later. so for 1.49 x 3 taco tuesday tacos. beans and rice 4.99 and i asked for tomatoes they charge 1.99. and soda that all came to $28.XX. i think waiter wrote full order and not side order. so far my opinion chips and salsa taste better down street at casa de mexico and it just feels treated better at casa de mexico they are more attentive to their customers. i dont think i will be back first impression is everything. i still tipped even though waiter didnt come back his energy was off to me like he didnt want to wait on me i watched his demeanor with white ladies that sat in front of me he came up to them several times. i dont think i will be back. im looking for a place where tacos dont taste so bland and dry……but the norm all the taco places put a ton of bland beef in taco and shredded cheese. rice and beans did taste fresh. ceviche was awesome very fresh im going to keep one star because waiter if he went to lunch or bathroom he should of told someone to check if i needed a second refill or anything else i should not be looking for someone to come get me something and i love they have napkin dispenser on table so i didnt have to chase down a waiter for it. i dont like their receipt system they just put charged on the initial ticket dont say what being charged for. i had to ask what i was each charge at the check in counter since my...
Read moreWow, Blue Springs has too many Mexican diners. This one has great recipes....when you can get them. The last TWO times my family has dined in we have been unfortunate to have servers that don't comprehend English. I've had language barriers before without issue but to need to repeat and draw pictures with one's hands for a waiter to comprehend their own menu is just wrong. On our last visit we ordered a shredded beef chimichanga and a bean burrito. We received a shrimp chimichanga and a beef burrito. To make things worse, when we tried to tell the waiter we ordered different items we were repeatedly repeated Back with "yes, shrimp". I like shrimp But I have health issues that prevent me from eating it at the moment. They removed it from my check but I sat there without my Meal as I felt sick after the experience, watching my family eat. When asked how things were at the end I mentioned we only received 2/4 items that we ordered and some are leaving ill/hungry. We received a "oh" reply and apparently that was enough for the lady for us. Really sad because their food is highly presentable and it all tastes great....just can't order what you want, get it, or get any service, or proper assistance (fyi, our drinks were mixed up multiple times as well, guess it's too hard to remember Dr Pepper when reminded...
Read moreMy husband and I went for lunch the other day after seeing all the great reviews. The atmosphere was great, very clean but it almost felt more like a cafe than a restaurant, maybe the lights are dimmed in the evening? The service was amazing. We were greeted and our drink order was taken. Who could say no to a 2 for 1 margarita? And they were so good! The salsa, chips, and queso were amazing. My only complaint was the food. My steak and fajita veggies were cooked PERFECTLY. My husbands seafood enchiladas were stuffed to the brim with seafood and the cheese was great on them. My only problem, my biggest problem is that nothing was seasoned. I didn’t even taste salt and pepper on my veggies. I’m not a huge spicy person but I found myself adding salsa and hot sauce to my food to make it better. They’re doing something right, people love them and the food is well made…just a...
