Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Bluffton

Very busy and seemingly successful restaurant that I would deem more of a carry out establishment rather than a comfortable portable sit down establishment. Staff is rather disorganized behind counter and in open to see kitchen. Not eager to make small changes to offerings to better please clientele, however that is their prerogative. Manager prone to holler at customers and seems to get upset quickly. Good for last minute carry out need.

Edit - Have rcently ordered take out (March, 2021), after not frequenting this establishment in a long period of time, if not a year or more. Ordered 4 different dishes and sides and am sad to to say we had to dispose of them. They were all burned or distasteful. I do hope Hong Kong can better their offerings and wish them continued success as they were quite busy (that could have been a contributing factor to our food turning out as it did). out of all the fast food take-out chinese places in this area, I like this place the best. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. Food with vegetables are fresh and cooked to order. BUT !! Their food and cooking is Chinese-American! and prepared for this southern area and population. Don't expect it to be like from areas from N.Y.C. , Chicago or other big towns or highly dense asian areas. They can and have added- cooked differently for me on some items upon request for a small extra price, if you ask politely. Worse Chinese food I've ever had, such a waste of money. Beef and Broccoli - I asked for extra brown sauce and ended up with very little, not enough to cover the food. Fried Dumplings - I took a bite and literally thought made me sick to my stomach. It tasted sour like something was wrong with it, I spit it out just as quickly as I took the bite. Hunnan Chicken had very little sauce, and no flavor couldn't even eat it. Spent $60 and myself and my family didn't it and were still hungry, so I ended up having to cook dinner at 8pm. Only grab dinner from this place out of convenience because I had to pick up my daughter's prescription from Publix at 6pm. I will never go back to this Chinese food...
